This is a gift for my brother-in-law who loves to play disc golf. He and my husband often go out before work, usually at dawn. Right now, they place one of those small, round battery operated closet lights on the basket so they can see where they need to throw their discs. He will love this. Battery tray is too large and spaced out too widely for the 3 AAA batteries to stay in place securely. This results in the light going out if the basket is hit hard by the disc. I added a band of clear packing tape to each battery ro beef them up to fit more snug. I also added a few squares to the underside of the cover to keep them pressed into place. Not the best solution but helps. Other than that pretty awesome. Wouldn't recommend leaving in the rain. UPDATE. Stopped working. Swapped remote and unit batteries. Never saw moisture. Used twice. Do not buy. UPDATE AGAIN:. Before I trashed it, I tried again. I think I had the wrong replacement battery in the temote. Working again! ... show more

Lots of cool colors, very bright. Has been exposed to the absolute worst care conditions and still looks great. I don’t take it in when it rains. I do nothing. Only downside, the plastic for hanging is not so good. Nothing a few wire ties can’t fix

Not really for disc golf baskets specifically, make sure to use the little velcro strap to hang the generic cheap color changing led on the top of the basket, batteries that came with it died super quickly, but they were cheap so I'm not surprised.. it's not super bright but suitable if the basket is in an already dark area ... show more

Wether we are hosting a party or just chilling around a fire we always have our basket in use. This light is a great addition. Everyone is in awe over the color changing basket. We love it and use it all the time. The only thing I think I would improve would be to make it rechargeable instead of taking batteries. The batteries last a long time. It's just the hassle of buying and installing batteries gets old. ... show more

Extremely cheap, and flawed design with poor QC. MVP should rethink putting their name on these. The light is constantly losing power due to the poor quality of the battery box. It is made from flimsy metal shims that bend under the pressure of the batteries, just all around a poor product. Even when the light works, it is still very dim, and there is no way to affix it to the basket. I assumed it would be magnetic or something. You'd be better served with just about any other light. I do have an MVP basket, that I love. This is not representative of their other products. ... show more
