  • Pleasantly surprised
Model: Frequency Set 2
We needed mics in a hurry and on a budget for a new theatre company in a new-to-us venue, and these seemed promising. They arrived quickly and work remarkably well in our black box theatre! I was so pleased, that I contacted the company to order another set, and they were able to ship them next day delivery in time for our tech week. Excellent customer service from this Maryland-based company, and all 16 mics sound great in the room with no interference. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!! YOU WILL REGRET IT
Model: Frequency Set 2
This item was unbelievably bad!!!!! Not one of the mics worked properly in any way. The jack connections for each mic did not connect smoothly which cause the mics to not get any to little reception. I wouldn’t recommend this item to anyone!!!!!

  • No customer support. Must be out of business.
Model: Frequency Set 2
I bought this 3 years ago and they have worked flawlessly until now. They are only used about 3 meetings a month for my Elks Lodge. One body pack transmitter failed and I have been trying to contac them for two weeks. Their voice mail is full and no answer when messaged. They must not be truely in business, just selling the last few they have in stock. ... show more

  • Economical vs quality
Model: Frequency Set 2
economical but not practical for quality stage settings. 2 mics never worked. I had to upgrade to multi channel.

  • worked great
Model: Frequency Set 2
used this for our church Christmas play and received many comments on how they were able to hear the kids speaking this year. Was great to have 8 channels to mic up all speaking parts. Looking to purchase a second unit to have a total of 16 channels to use.

  • Not professional quality as stated
Model: Frequency Set 2
These microphone were used for dialogue between dance numbers for our recital. The stage is 32 feet wide and even putting the receiver right at the edge of the stage the microphones cut in and out. We wanted to buy these instead of renting from a theater company as we have in the past, but since the quality is so poor we can not use them again. ... show more

  • What you need to know
Model: Frequency Set 2
Just a few comments about these units that may not be obvious from the pictures. - The connection to mics is a standard 3.5mm (TR not TRS) with a screw thread on the mic (not the bodypack.) This fits perfectly with Pyle Pro PMEM1 if you need to use the head worn flesh tone mics (like for theater.) It comes with a set of lavs an the big black headset mic of course if those work for your application. - Batteries in the body packs are double A. - As can be expected for this price point, the frequency of the receiver and transmitter is NOT tunable - they are all fixed. Only controls are on/off and volume. - The picture gives the illusion that the bodypack transmitter may have some menu button on the front (similar to Shure SLX1) but the little indent under the bodypack frequency display is not a button at all, it is just for looks. - The unit has a switch at the top for off, standby, on. I would assume the standby is similar to mute, but when in standby the RF light on the receiver goes out - so.... But have had zero problem with turning off or standby silently. - I have not been able to find any gain control on the bodypack. Each channel on the receiver does have a volume control that trims the audio prior to injecting into the mixer (even on the individual outs,) but nothing on the body pack to trim the audio prior to attempting to transmit. It seemed to work OK with the Pyle head worn mic as long as positioned correctly (not to close.) - The units seemed to function well. They were a little fuzzy sounding compared to my Shure SLX system - that may have been in part due to the lack of gain control. ... show more
