  • Power is good
Size: 4500 Watts
I have owned this for a few months now and I have no regrets about buying it but I found that it needs a hotter signal to get it to the wattage point so I added a nobsound direct e6 tube preamps which I personally use in my home theater setup because the class d amps need more analog input to give them a warm sound and not so harsh on the higher frequencies and midrange frequencies are a lot better imho so I use them in my entire system all 9.1.4 so I don’t use my Denon AVR amps at all and the sys 4500 fit my old school DCM tf350s speakers very well because they are a 88db speakers and they need power and the amp fits the need and with a good amount of power left to boot. I am not sure how much power they are using but I am not able to get the amp pass 12 o’clock and at reference volume I can’t listen to them at this volume very long. I bought this amplifier because my speakers were starving for power and boy it definitely feeds them and I wasn’t expecting this Musysic SYS 4500 to work as well as it does but it works . I don’t know if I got the better built amplifier or what but it works great. The tube preamps definitely help with the sound and I’m sure it wouldn’t be able to produce the same sound without them. My room is a partly open concept but I haven’t been able to get the sound that I wanted until now so I’m pleased with the amp and I thought I would hate the blue led lights but I never seen them light up other than the time I set it up and so far it’s been light free even at high impact moments. My speakers are around 28 to 35 hz which is the other reason I why I bought the amplifier because of its ability to reach high 50k according to the specs weather that is true or false I don’t know , what I do know is that my speakers are now awake and that’s what I have been searching for. Overall it is a very good amplifier and I have no complaints except the fans are a little loud and I may replace them if my rack stays in the room which I have been working on moving it to my garage. Finally thought about the amplifier i know that having a dedicated outlet would be a great idea and it wouldn’t have to suffer from lack of power , so buy one and you are not happy with it then you can return it. BIG PLUS in my book even though it’s not perfect. ... show more

  • Loud fans
Size: 3200 Watts
The amp works really well, but the fan noise is too loud (for our use in a church) even in a close track system. It has dual fans that run high speed all the time. Otherwise it does great. Another plus is the size: it is short enough to fit comfortable in a wall rack unit and still connect the cables in back. ... show more

  • _NOT_ Balanced Inputs (and flaky inputs)
Size: 2000 Watts
When I first started using this, I noticed that, when using the TRS inputs, one channel wouldn't work unless I applied a little side-force on the plug. Irritating, but not a huge problem because I was planning to use XLR inputs. That was fine until I started having a channel drop out during rehearsal. I decided to look into the issue and took the cover off to discover that pin 3 of XLR is soldered to ground (so, NOT balanced inputs). The TRS inputs are wired directly to the XLR inputs, so the TRS ring is also tied to the TRS shield. Furthermore, you can see that there are only three wires (red/white/black) leaving the board to the amp, and there's not enough circuitry to difference balanced signals, so this thing does _not_ have balanced inputs. This can have issues if you're using a Y-splitter to run the main-out signal to some powered monitors, as your -signal is going to be grounded and you're going to lose all of your common-mode noise rejection and 6dB of signal. ... show more

  • Why is it 3-3/4” high
Size: 3200 Watts
Astoundingly, inexplicably, and totally mysteriously, I can’t imagine why the designers made this whole series a quarter inch too tall. My guess is they were all stoned at the time. I would think anyone with even minimal experience with professional power amps and electronic equipment would know that standard rack spacing is 1-3/4 inches. But here they are. So if you can deal with the peculiar size (Even the screw spacing is off), or build your own cases as I do, these amps seem like an incredible value. It’s like they drew it oversized, then failed to reduce it properly before going into production. Anyway, other than that, it seems great, (so far) - if you understand the massively exaggerated power ratings. Delete a zero and you will have it. So ... not 3200 watts, but 320 watts. ... show more

  • Not as powerful as rated, Bought used , - left side was all bashed in, goodness!
Size: 2000 Watts
Bought this used, in order to drive two 4x12 350W guitar cabinets, and it does, but just barely and not by much. The transistor in this amp really needs a pretty hot / powerful audio signal like a pre-amp driving the signal it in order to make these work out to be anywhere near loud. The rear fans are pretty loud if you cannot drowned them out with at least constant 50 Db. I bought a used unit, and the left front bracket arrived smashed and bashed in , and un-mountable. I had to put the bracket into a vise and straighten it out with a 3 lb hammer. This seems closer to a 400W max amplifier at 4 Ohms. The "2000W" rating is laughable. ... show more
