One year later after purchase King size…. I thought this platform bed was the best thing since sliced bread. Sturdy, nice looking, super easy to assemble and disassemble. Did NOT squeak whatsoever. Honey n I bought a $1300 bed to go on this lovely platform. After a month our brand new mattress was dipping. Just figured our pillow top mattress was a dud. Bought another bed. A FIRM foam mattress. Only to have our backs killing us. I chalked it up to having a bed curse. We were miserable. Finally sleeping on our floor ;( It dawned on me our problem was the SLATS! Yep. They’re weak. We are not very large people. 157 and 165. We spent $140 dollars on ply wood from Home Depot. Sealed it good with primer to lock away subfloor off gassing. And WALLA! Our bed is PERFECT FINALLY! So just beware. The slats are not going to support your bed or you properly. Buy some good sturdy plywood. Or sub flooring. It’s worth it. We love our bed. It’s perfect :) ... show more

I haven't had this product long enough to give it a 5⭐ review, but if this bed holds up a year or more, you bet I'll be back and add that extra star. Shipping was estimated to take weeks, but it showed up at my door in perfect condition and with all parts barely 3 days after I ordered it. Assembly was easy, but an extra set of hands is helpful. When putting it together, I did take the extra step to add locktite threadlocker to all of the bolts. I added a bit of gorilla glue to the holes that the wooden dowels get inserted into. I've only had it a couple days, but I've tested out the weight limit by piling on my mom and all my kids into the bed, and it didn't even creak like it was straining the wooden slats (well over 600 lbs). Also, with the mattress on it, I stood on it to hang some pictures above the bed, and no wobbling, no creaking, it didn't collapse. For the two nights I've spent on it so far, I can say it's been super quiet (and I'm one that tosses and turns throughout the night). Also, it hasn't caused a backache yet. I was a little worried that the mattress would slide around because it sits on top of the frame instead of inside it, but it stays put even with me rolling around on it. As long as the bed holds up for awhile, I'd say that it seems like a strong, supportive, quality bed and well worth the money (also quite nice looking if you're going for that bohemian or minimalist sort of look). Five stars if I get a years use out of it. It sure seems like it will hold up! So far, I'm very happy with this purchase! ... show more

This bed is more beautiful than I expected. The wood is a nice color and it is very sturdy. I am still in shock at how easy the bed was to put together. It took me maybe 30 minutes by myself and all the tools are included plus spares! Super easy instructions!

    • Beautiful bed frame, but lacking support.

The bed frame is beautiful, solid wood, but the slats are not supportive. I ordered a twin size and added a simple wood center support under the slats, as soon as I noticed they couldn't hold the weight of the mattress. I've had this bed frame for a year and my back is starting to hurt due to the slats getting weaker, so I recommend investing in some thicker wood slats or even adding a plywood top, especially if using a latex mattress. ... show more

*Update: have had this for a year and a half now and still LOVE it. Zero issues and still as sturdy as the day I put it together! Still recommend Only slept on this a week now but I seriously love this frame! Real wood, sturdy, perfect height, color is as pictured, no creaking, and I was able to put together within one episode of The Office.. seriously, easier than even an Ikea frame *sidenote: will say, I have a lot of experience putting together this type of furniture from a past job, so maybe it was easier for me, but it's only 4 legs and 4 frame boards...and my 5 year old "helped"... not exactly difficult like others have said* My only issue is the center support bar.. it looks as if it COULD break at some point because the metal is a little cheap and thin, but it could also be great. Will definitely update if it's an issue. Also, I shopped for a king size frame for my husband and I for over 6 months but they all seemed cheap and temporary. I took a chance on this even though it only had a few reviews and I'm glad I did - esp for the price :) ... show more
