I already have a pair of these socks, which is why I ordered more. I was upset to see the quality on all 3 pair was not great. I thought only one pair had a few loose threads on the top edge. Upon inspection of the others (plus a separate order of 3 other colors) all 6 pair had the same defects. Loose threads, puckered edges on the cuff of the sock and elastic threads that had snapped. I have re-ordered the same products, hoping that this was a fluke. We shall see when they arrive. Edit: replacement socks arrived and are going back. Sad. Quality and construction are not good. If I was buying them at Marshall’s, maybe I could understand irregularities but 12 pair of socks all with the same issues? No quality control. I have and OLD pair of these socks (currently wearing them and they have zero defects). They’re at least 5 years old and elastic is in tact and sewing not flawed. ... show more

To be clear I purchased the brown set for $19.75 and when I tried a pair my feelings were immediately mixed. They were thick and seemed like they would stay up reasonably well which was very much to my liking but before that... Unfortunately I had ordered in anticipation of the off-white pair. The product picture for me made it seem like in good lighting they would still look fairly white (but definitely not pure) with a brown tint for a mildly desaturated creamy result. Well they actually look straight gray to me (see third picture). Since I didn't like the color I decided to go with the middle pair to try because I could at least see hints of brown there. I pulled them on to discover, when I did my best to keep the lines of the socks straight, the buckles rested in wildly different places. I considered keeping them anyway, the sock could be twisted to match (but I knew that'd bother me all day) or redo the buckle myself (but would I really get around to resewing?). I could also just exchange them, I could have happened to get the one bad pair as a fluke. Then as I stared down my legs looking at the brown shoes I ordered the socks to match with... I realized these too looked completely gray (see pictures one & two). In order to notice the brown again I had to hold them up against an actually gray pair I had ordered to try at the time as this set. Being packaged beside the lighter pair is likely why I initially thought the color was as expected at all. TL;DR: Thick, stay up, actually over the knee. I'm a bigger girl and have had some bad luck with over the knee socks fitting but I decided to try these anyways. They don't go quite as high on me but I'm still happy with them. They are more like regular knee socks for me but i still really like them and the buckles are cute.

    • Doesn’t stay up

They don’t stay up, I am someone who needs the socks to cover over the knee to help keep my knees warm to reduce pain, and I have to pull them up every 5 mins no matter how I size the buckle. Very disappointed., they are to big in the feet section I wear a size four.

Nice over the knee fit. Good quality. Comfortable in my boots. Stayed up well without sliding down. Looked really stylish with the buckle. I received compliments. I would order again.
