Sooooo- I lived through the slouch socks era. Slouch socks are NOT tube socks stretched and shoved down to your ankle! They also aren't leg warmers with a sock sewn to them. Slouch socks are an almost knitted sock that is oversized, but not fat, above the ankle and fitted to the foot. These are the closest I've found since they've made a comeback. But, they still miss the mark. The foot part actually feels to small. The slouch knit literally starts at your heel- in your shoe! The slouch part is not near slouchy enough- they need another inch or two to be the correct baggy slouch. They are the perfect fabric weight. They also have that "knit" feel and look. Overall, I'm keeping them. They are as good as it seems to get this time around. But, they would be absolutely perfect with a few tweaks.
