The laptop worked fine for the most part alot needed to be updated and some of the bloatware needed to be removed. When I was gaming I had a concern about the temperature. The GPU was fine it got up to maybe 72°C max but the CPU wow I was hitting 99°C constantly it was very worrisome. The cooling looked sufficient and the fans definitely blew alot of air but I couldn't get it out of the 90°+ range. Again maybe I got a lemon I've bought another one I'll update my review once I receive the laptop and test it. If it over heats again I may try redoing the thermal paste and if that doesn't work then all hope is lost. Update I received the second laptop. Haven't tested it yet for thermals but it does seem a bit better. I opened it up and you have room for a 2.5 hard drive as well as a second nvme ssd. Update #2: I have now put back together the laptop will all new thermal paste (thermal grizzly kryonaut). Temps dropped a whole 8°, but I am still hitting the 90s in small jumps. While gaming it's staying in the lower 80s to high 70s. This is still on the hotter side but is more manageable. These coolers aren't made for a consistent 45 watt load and this cpu jumps above 70 watts at times. I've seen as high as 75 watts. The GPU is perfect before it hit 70°c on the dot now with the new paste 68°c. Overall I do like the laptop but it needs better cooling and better apps to control fan curves and power limits. ... show more

support as promised 4 hrs battery when continusly using laptop and downloading stuff. About speed it has a very powerful CPU for multitasking. Battery capacity can be improved other than that this laptop is great for gamers. Fan not make sound which is quite good.

I mainly use this computer at my desk after I get off work so this laptop is perfect for me. I love the RGB keyboard! I’m no keyboard expert or anything but just typing on the keyboard feels great. When it comes down to gaming this thing is a beast it can run pretty much anything at 1080p ultra to high settings and get 60+FPS most of the games Doom 2016 actually hits 200fps some times. This laptop would be perfect if it weren’t for the battery life which lasts around 2- 2 1/2 hours which isn’t the greatest but isn’t the worst either. But I work 10 hour days at work so I don’t get out much so 99% of the time the laptop is plugged in anyways so I don’t really have to worry about battery life. The speakers are decent but they aren’t the best I have heard but for a laptop I think they are more than acceptable. Honestly for 550 dollars (deal of the day) I couldn't ask for much more. Super quiet, keyboard is nice, screen is good. It can play most anything I want. Only complaints are that it comes with 8GB of Ram and half of that is eaten by Windows and the HD is an SSD (very fast) but only 256GB so a little small. The only thing I really don't like is the touchpad, feels kind of cheap and the mouse buttons are not the best. For the price I am very happy. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy this laptop originally because Amazon's product page is rather vague when it comes to a lot of the reasons people might be looking at this laptop. Before I purchased it I wanted to know more about the panel in particular. Now that I have it, all I have learned is that it is a 60hz panel. Another thing I wanted to know before purchasing was the exact RAM specifications so that I could purchase another 8gb stick of RAM and install it right away. The RAM in mine was Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD. It is an 8gb 2666MHz CL19 stick of memory. It can be purchased on Amazon for $35-40. For the price I paid ($550), I think it is still a great deal, but if you are looking to purchase this laptop towards the end of 2019 (or later) for more than $600, I would wait for a better deal with a low tier 20 series card in it. ... show more

Has a crap CPU cooler, it'll overheat with almost every game unless you turn down the settings. Kinda sucks cause I bought this for video editing also and when rendering it gets up to 95 celcuis and throttles
