  • Good purchase. I’d give it 4.99 stars (why in the description)
Style: 15.6"|GTX 1660 Ti|i7-9750H
Read full description for explanations. =>Pros: -Powerful and fast (booting, game loadings, etc) -Audio -Screen =>Cons: -Edge of the laptop might bother your wrist skin while typing for too long -Might get too hot for lap use (assuming it’s right on top of your pants) A strong and powerful machine. So far I’ve played AC Odyssey/Origins/Syndicate, SW: Jedi Fallen Order, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, The Witcher 3, No Man’s Sky, Ryse Son of Rome and many other in the top graphic settings. Never had any issue. There’re many preset for fan and cpu/gpu power. The auto settings for the fan will make it really quiet (the outside metal might feel a bit hot, but totally standable... it means the heat is going out of the inside). Turbo mode will make it really cool, but with the price of the noise (you won’t notice with headphones. Audio is good. Booting time is awesome (even with my SSD full it won’t take even 10s to reach Windows 10 login screen). Screen is cristal clear (came with a 120% screen ratio configuration, changable in MSI config panel). Keyboard light brightness can be changed (4 levels, 0 to full), but color is always red. Touchpad is weird for me, but it isn’t bad. It’s really thing and light for it’s configurations. The power button is a bit hard to press, and in the first time I thought it was out of battery, but actually I didn’t press hard enough. Webcam will be automatically shutdown all time, unless you turn it on using Fn+keyboard button (which I don’t remember which one it is at the moment), I checked the Device Manager and it’s really like it’s not connected at all. The power input is at the left side, by the middle of the keyboard. Bluetooth works nicely with Xbox One Controller. The reason I’d give 4.99: while typing, the edge next to you might slightly bother you skin (since I’m using it mostly for gaming with a controller and I use a wireless keyboard when I need to type, doesn’t affect me, and it gets a bit too hot for lap use sometimes while gaming. Really good product, I’d totally recommend it. Friendly reminder: it’s got around 500GB, so you might get around 8-10 of newest games installed, since they take around 40-60GB these days. ... show more

  • It's worth it.
Style: 15.6"|GTX 1050 Ti|i7-9750H
It depends on what you need a new laptop for. If you're looking for maximal mobility and a long battery life, this isn't going to do it for you. If you're looking for a decent gaming/work studio appliance, look no further. "Decent" might be underselling it. For well under $1,000 you're getting an adequate gaming computer that will run any new title you throw at it to some extent, usually a high and satisfying extent. The GPU and CPU will offer all the power you need whether it's for video editing or watching high definition movies. There should be scarce to no hiccups with your product, as there barely is any with the laptop I received. I have to admit MSI is a good brand with a reputation for quality they actually bother to maintain. I'll give you my pros an cons for the MSI GF63 I received. PROS: The GPU and CPU are powerful. No individual editing, gaming, or audio mixing software program will suffer too many hiccups. After one week, I haven't dealt with any crashes at all what so ever, and I have been stressing it with some pretty intense gaming and video editing. Minor lagging here and there but not an obstacle. The audio is decent by the way. The build is sturdy -- there shouldn't be any cosmetic issues with regular use. Obviously you'll want to avoid dropping it. The screen casing is metallic and thin, the rest is a hard, somewhat jagged (though not uncomfortable) sturdy plastic. The keyboard has a red back-light with three levels of brightness. You get an anti-glare display with clean 1080p definition, though it is yellow-shifted by default. You can easily fix that and get a more balanced color scheme out of it. Other notes about this model in case there is any confusion: it should come with 3 USB 3.0 slots, an HDMI in the back, a mic jack, a headphone jack, an ethernet port, and a micro USB type C port. CONS: The mousepad sucks. Buy a mouse, even the cheapest ones are an improvement. This mousepad is a single wobbly plastic platform of pure crap. The keyboard, though comfortable to type on, does not come with a number pad. If you absolutely need one then you should just buy this laptop anyway, you're getting a good deal. You'll have saved plenty to purchase any extensions you need. The battery life isn't amazing. If you're gaming you'll want to charge it every couple of hours or so. For mundane web surfing, light gaming, and photo editing, the battery will last 4hrs or so, a decent bump of entertainment if you're taking a flight. The SSD is quick, but meek. At 250GB, you should already expect to need an external HDD for serious storage. You'll have to have the fan's highest settings enabled to run intense graphics, which will be somewhat loud. Personally I don't care, if the audio means so much to you then you should have a decent set of headphones anyway. Most importantly, this isn't a highly mobile rig. Expect to have an external HDD or other extensions dangling off of it a lot of the time. If you're taking it camping, expect to have an ample battery bank. CONCLUSION: If you station this laptop upon your desk it shall be a fantastic and leisurely delight to use. Don't expect great mobility. If you want a failry smooth and responsive computer for a good deal, then stop looking around because you've really found it. If my experience continues to be as positive as it is, then you will not hear from me again, otherwise I will keep you updated. Update: After two weeks this laptop is still performing flawlessly and I am pleased. Been gaming nonstop. Out of the 6 laptops I've been through this one is best. ... show more

  • Gamer? Get it.
Style: 15.6"|GTX 1660 Ti|i7-9750H
Definitely the most powerful and slickest machine I've ever had. Comes with a lot of features thanks to it being an MSI, plus with Nvidia software. In my first few months of having it, I've had little to no complaints at all regarding the software, however a few things should be noted about its build; As is on par with monster gaming pc's like these, it can get VERY HOT, so much so that wasd keys can become painful to the touch, if you're somebody that games for long periods, definitely invest in a cooling pad, it will do you a lot of favors. But the heat is at no fault to the computer, that's just what happens when you want so much in such a small build. Another think worth mentioning, which is a common theme among other reviews of this build, depending on where your arms are when typing, the edges of the laptop may be a bit sharp for your taste, however adjusting the way you use it can fix that... just keep that in mind. I don't have much to compare to, but I would say it is worth the price if you love gaming on the go. Pair this puppy with a case, mouse, and a cooling pad, and this baby can take you places. Great build, great performance, great computer. I'm now a big fan of MSI because of this. ... show more
