  • Budget Graphics Card with HUGE Overclock Potential
I've had this card for a few days now and here's what I've found. 1. The 1650 Super is probably the best bang for your buck right now. FPS/$ is through the roof out of the box (with no special settings or overclock). If you're using a 60hz monitor, this will run pretty much everything you throw at it smoothly. 2. Overclock-ability is huge. I boosted the power +10% (110%), base clock +150MHZ, and the memory clock +1350MHZ (though MSI Afterburner says +1500MHZ is safe, I just didn't see an improvement in FPS at that speed). I haven't messed with voltage at all. So far I've played Fortnite, GTA5, Warzone, CSGO, Division 2, and Starcraft 2 all on high to ultra settings at 1080p and they've never dipped below 60 FPS (my monitor's max), nor has the temperature broken 80 degrees Celcius. When not gaming, the fans don't even spin (a built in feature) and temps stay at 60C or below. I paid $189 this week, which seems a little higher for the 1650S than I'd expect, but it appears all computer parts are running a premium during the pandemic. I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • For people building a PC and seeking a graphics card in their budget
This graphics card is a pretty good starter when building a pc or looking for a better part with a budget. As straight out of the box it was pretty clean and is pretty easy to install. I say it is worth if you want something simple and want to run simple games. You can run COD Modern Warfare (2019 released), Apex Legends, Genshin Impact, and more, but you would have to get gefore experience or other optimizer clients to optimize it. Overall the noise isn't loud, it runs as it is suppose to, and gaming with the super is pretty smooth in the sense the game is optimized. ... show more

  • Best 1650S out of the bunch of 1650S
***Update 1/21*** It's been nearly a year (since Feb 2020) with the settings below and I've not had a single crash. Games are very smooth at 1080p. I did try crypto mining a little bit, but this is not a good card for that. Because of the 4GB limit, the only profitable coin to mine after paying for electrical power is Ravencoin(RVN). When I say profitable, I'm only talking about a net profit of 25-30 cents/day. It does need a different settings profile for mining: 1) Power limit = 70% 2) Core Clock = 0 Mhz 3) Memory Clock = 0 Mhz 4) Fan Speed = did not customize. It should not draw more than 60-70Watts with this setting. Like I said, I don't recommend using any video card 4GB or smaller (like this card) for mining since the more profitable coins (like ETH) has a DAG file larger than 4GB that you need in memory to mine. ***Original review*** I have Dell 7020 SFF, I got this and an "16x graphics magnetic" that came with a 20mm riser cable. The onboard x16 slot is limited to 35W (per dell technical guidebook), so I had to an old 300W psu collecting dust that used to power the 6 pin external power connector. After watching and reading multiple reviews of different 1650S manufacturers, even though this one cost twenty more than the cheapest 1650S it was worth it. The extra money basically went into cooling. I ran benchmarks and games for over an hour and this card never got over 70 C. The fans don't even spin if gpu is under 55 C, unlike the cheaper 1650S which spin all the time and can't be shut off at all. I ran the OC core clock curve on Afterburner, but the settings were too conservative so I did my own benchmark/artifact trial and error runs instead. I was able to get stable Afterburner settings with 1) Power limit = 110% 2) Core Clock = +160 Mhz 3) Memory Clock = +1300 Mhz 4) Fan Speed = did not customize. Running for one month without any crashes. ... show more

  • Scalped price but what are ya gonna do?
I have to give it 4 stars because the price was unrealistic for anyone I don’t care. But here we are and supply and demand is very real these days so I say get it if you want a gpu that can game at 60fps at 1080p. For me that was on high settings for most games so the games looked and felt decent. That’s assuming the game is from 2017 and before. ... show more

  • Can be installed into an XPS 8700
I needed a graphics card upgrade for my XPS 8700. After much contradictory research as to what would fit and work, I settled on the MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 Super. I manually removed the drivers for the old card prior to the physical installation. I found the install very straightforward (it wasnt my first one). The only surprise was almost no noticing the protective plastic over the slot connectors. The card fits perfectly in the XPS case and its very quiet (although it hasnt been stressed yet). I upgraded my BIOS to Dell A14 a few days ago and I did not have any problems with the BIOS not recognizing the card (which has been reported on some websites, including Dell's). I manually downloaded the new drivers from the NVIDEA website and performed a clean install of those drivers. The installer seemed to remove a few outdated NVIDEA software components that I had missed then installed the new drivers without a problem. After restart everything works perfectly. I did not install any of the overclocking software. ... show more

  • Incredible price to performance in an attractive package
Was not expecting performance like i got for $160! Played CoD Warzone at high-ultra settings 1080p and got an average of 80-100 fps! If youre deciding between this and a regular 1660, get this one. I did the research and there is at best a 7 fps difference which you can still overclock this gpu and gain 3ish fps making some games play entirely the same for less money! Only complaint is 4gb of vram but even going over the vram limit in all my aaa games they still all play very smoothly at high-ultra settings 1080p meanwhile the gpu stays silent and cool at around 60 c, 64 c was the highest it got after 20 mins of gaming. Overall extremely happy with the price to performance here and plan on using this for a few years to come in my main computer. ... show more
