I have wanted this for a while as I've seen them at the fair and wish I had purchased. I use the oven a lot and seem to always burn my arm while pulling something out of the oven. So I finally purchased this item. It's a great item for the purpose I need it, but only three stars because it's way too short. The notches are also a bit small for pulling the rack. Unless you're pulling directly from the middle, it's not large or strong enough to be of any use. I use heavy cast iron dutch ovens and it just doesn't do the trick. A much thicker and longer item would be much better. If you have little pans in the oven, or baking pans for cookies or something, works good, but not for heavy glass or cast iron. Need more umpf and a stronger, longer tool! ... show more

I callit my push pull thingy. It is a simple wooden well made gadget to pull those hot oven racks forward and touch them back without having to use a pot holder. I love mine. It is certainly worth the 5 dollars I spent to buy it.

Rack puller sticks are so over-priced, this was the least expensive. At 11", this is the perfect length for countertop ovens. Bamboo is preferable, easy wash, rinse and wipe, doesn’t soak up water, and doesnt attract grease. I find the hook cut-out is too much of an angle, making it awkward to pull out a lower rack without burning your hand. ... show more

I had one that was much longer but it got lost moving across the country so I was missing this particular tool. It works well but I do wish it came in a longer version. Worth the money.
