I’ve brought the MPOWERD Luci Solar String Lights on a few camping trips, and they’ve been great. I usually attach them to my rooftop tent or Yakima Slim Shady awning, and they provide just the right amount of light for the campsite. The warm white LEDs give off a nice, comfortable glow—not too bright or harsh, which I really like. Charging them is super simple. The solar panel works well during the day, and if I need to, I can charge them with USB before heading out. The built-in power bank has also saved me a couple of times when my phone was running low. They’ve held up really well to outdoor use, including some rain and dirt. Plus, they’re compact and easy to pack. Overall, I’m really happy with these lights and would definitely recommend them for camping or any outdoor setup. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this light and now take it with me for any camping or car trip. It is so compact, yet provides a very long string of lighting with 3 varying light intensities. It lasts a surprisingly long time, is quick to charge, and is easy to operate. I had this out all night during a long soaking rain and can say confidently it handled it without a problem. The glow of the light is warm and comforting, perfect for campsite lighting. I charge this with another battery pack, or plug it in to AC for an hour, rather than rely on the solar for a full charge, but the solar is a night addition and I'm glad it came with it. We love these for van camping! This is my second purchase of the same because we love them and left a set at the cabin. Perfect for on the go lights, setting up at camp sites. 3 settings is perfect. Solar charged is essential in both our van and cabin locals. We’ve also purchased the stake versions of Luci lights and the inflatable lanterns and they’ve worked for years. Update (a few months of use): Been using this for a few months now. I’ll retract what I said about the solar panel. It was actually convenient. Mainly because it’ll only last a night for me on the high setting. I just hang it towards the sun and it recharges during the day. Sometimes it’ll charge to full but most at least 75%. Due to having to unwind it complete to use, I only really take it out when I’m staying somewhere longer than a day. I also end up snapping the cable. I reached out to the company and they were able to sell me a replacement string. If you are using it with a canopy, I suggest getting Velcro straps for it. Makes it easier to hang. Overall still good product. 4.5 stars. Original review: I was looking for a good quality string light to take with me camping. These looks great so I got it. What I like about it is the string quality feels great, the light is bright, and the cable long. I like how it's self contained so it is easy to store. The built in power bank makes it convenient so I don't have to use my other power banks to power it. Things I don't like or can be improved: The biggest grip I have is the string light isn't connected to the power bank by default. The end of the cable is stored in an empty storage port. So you have to unwind all of the cord, then plug it into the power bank. So if you want to only use half the cord, no luck, you have to unwind the whole thing. Additionally, if you have it all wind up and the case open, it would have been a great opportunity to use the lights as a lantern. But since it's not connected to the power bank winded up, no such feature. Leaving it plugged in isn't an option because the cable will stick straight out putting stress on the connection. I believe the idea was so that you don't accidentally turn on the lights while it's in the case. But I figure making a power button that doesn't get accidentally turn on would have been a smarter idea. The case is on the larger size so it is hard to get a good grip to twist open. It should have something on the bottom to help with grip. The solar panel is nice to have but it isn't that great of a feature. It's so small it would take a long time to charge the power bank. I would have rather no solar panel and other better features. Overall, good product and I'm happy to have it but not quite perfect. ... show more

I love these and they are a staple on my camping trips. They provide a ton of light but aren’t too bright to hurt the eyes. They last so long so I rarely have to worry about them going out. I also love the little hooks provided along the string to make hanging them up super easy. This feature is great since you will have to take them down and put them back up multiple times during a camping trip to charge them. I also love how the lights are stored inside the battery pack. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future ... show more

These lights are perfect for camping or just spending the evening outside while at home. The multi-color option is a nice touch. I really like how compact it is when not in use. Charges quickly when using the USB-C and the built-in solar option is great for when you are "off the grid".
