    • Love the extra wheel but not the handle

I like this over other ab rollers because of the extra wheel. It makes it easier to roll and keep my balance. The slot for my phone works pretty good but I don't use it that much. It comes with a pad for your knees. it's pretty thin but it works ok. My only dislike is the handle. It comes off fairly easy. It does ok when using it, but it is almost guaranteed to come off if you have to pick it up and move it anywhere. I think 4 stars is fair as long as you don't pick it up as much. ... show more

As someone who suffers from chronic back pain, I try to combat it by keeping my core as strong as possible. Unfortunately I don't have the time to get into the gym as often as I would like where there are machines optimized for doing this and I don't like doing crunches or sit-ups since they are bad for my neck and back. As a result, I am always on the lookout for a better way. I came across this item on Amazon and I knew I had to try it out. When it arrived, it came with some instructions on how to use it, but its pretty self explanatory if you have ever used an "ab roller" type device. It comes with a foam knee pad which is awesome and you will need it if you don't have carpeted floors. It was very easy to assemble and comes in 4 pieces with the main unit, a metal bar and 2 end caps. You simply slide one of the end caps over the end of the bar and insert the other end of the bar into the roller. Then you slide the second cap on the other end of the bar and it locks it in place. The bar should be able to slide around and spin freely which helps you adjust as you use the roller. To use the roller you put your knees close together on the foam pad and place your hands on each handle. You push the roller away from you and rock forward while keeping the rest of your body off the floor. The further you stretch out, the better workout you will get. The only part of your body that should be touching the floor should be your knees and maybe your toes. One of the great things about this roller is it has a "rebound" effect. This means that when you push the roller away from you, it winds a spring that stores energy and helps you get back up. While this may seem like cheating to some, its just enough help so you aren't overstraining but not so much that you still get a tremendous workout. It's this rebound motion that prevents many people from being able to perform this workout and this addresses it beautifully. The quality of the roller seems excellent and it has held with a lot of use over the past week. The wheels are wide which makes it very stable and easy to use. Most other rollers have a much narrower wheel which makes keeping it steady more of a challenge. I was pretty sore the first day or two but now I am used to it and look forward to using this and improving my core strength. If you are looking for a good core strength roller, this may be the best device I have encountered to get it done. I can't recommend it enough. ... show more

I work out daily. I am one of those people that definitely works out too much. When it comes to abs have always used weights, planks or done other floor work. I have purchased ab machines and ab rollers however, they either didn’t work or hurt my back. This little contraption is amazing! I am so impressed with it. I have recommended to multiple people. I'm not an expert on these types of gadgets, so take that with a grain of salt. This thing seems really well-made. It also seems to work as intended--when you push it forward, I can feel a good bit of resistance. The grips are comfortable and ergonomic.
