  • Quick and easy
Easy to use. Tastes great. Consistency is decent. Lightweight to pack on my motorcycle trips. Recommend for quick warm breakfast.

  • Liked it
Surprisingly good flavor and texture for freeze dried eggs and bacon. It’s expensive for everyday but for overnight trips or emergency food it’s good value. Honestly what I do is open a bag of biscuits and gravy and combine them. Then only hydrate half and save the other half in the pouch to hydrate the next day. The eggs have a def bacon flavor. But there is something in them that puts a tickle in my throat. They are pretty salty. Mixed with the biscuits and gravy it tastes good and no tickle. And feels more filling. I love the biscuits and gravy. Lots of sausage in it. ... show more

  • It's doable
I bought these for emergency use camping in Minnesota just in case we ran out of food. Didn't use them so I tried 1 when I got home knowing I could just throw it out if I hated it. I thought they weren't bad. Taste wise it was a little bland but good enough to eat again. The texture was a little hard to get over. Something's were soggy, while some were crunchy. Overall I would eat it for breakfast every day if needed on a camping trip. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Good
Wow, ordered 2 and just tried one out for breakfast with toast. It is good. Some of the bigger chunks were still a tiny bit dehydrated so I microwaved for 19 seconds but maybe my water wasn't hot enough. Expires in 2053. Ordered 5 more and will add to every order to stock up. COVID, Bird Flu, natural disasters...one never knows. I'm not a prepper but I want to have enough food & water for me & my dogs for at least 2 weeks. ... show more

  • Convenient but Soggy and Bland
I'm a huge fan of Mountain House meals and I'm usually quite pleased with the quality. However these scrambled eggs left me a little disappointed when compared to their other foods. Sure it's very convenient and is a great meal to have out in the middle of nowhere, but that's about all the good I can say about it. The main drawback for me is the excess water left over even after following their heating instructions to a tee, which leaves the eggs quite soggy and soupy if not fully drained. I drained mine through a fine mesh sieve thoroughly and they were still rather soggy. Texture was off. If you have nothing to strain them with, you'll have a hard time getting all the extra water out without losing some of the eggs. In Contrast, the "Breakfast Skillet" option with scrambled eggs, potatoes, onions and peppers turns out just fine with no excess water at the end. This makes me wonder if adding less water than the instructions call for could be an improvement for the scrambled eggs and bacon meal. Other than the soggy eggs and excess water left over, they're OK as a convenient hot meal when youre away from civilization. It beats a granola bar for sure. A little on the bland side though. The bacon adds some needed flavor but the pieces are very small and not substantial. I was expecting more bacon and larger pieces. To sum it up, this is not one of the better meals from Mountain House. They make much better options than this one, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Decent breakfast
Decent breakfast. We prepare as directed then toss it in a tortilla with a packet of taco sauce. Turns out pretty good. I do still prefer MH Skillet but the eggs only is good as well
