  • tried the cheaper ones
after many other repairs (think injector cups) and an engine wiring harness , had IPR issues. tried two of the cheaper (and I mean cheaper , not less expensive) with less than stellar results - ordered and installed the OEM (shipped fast , well packaged and in a sealed (mylar?) bag ,still oily, so you know it was tested and guess what ? NO MORE IPR issues ! could have saved myself half the cost of this one by ordering it first. ... show more

  • It’s definitely stout
The media could not be loaded. I’m very please with the product so far. I’m about to install it. I rebuilt my hpop with new seals and I was pretty sure the ipr valve was bad. It showed 4000 psi o. My hpop and my ipr valve was holding 4.5 psi and wouldn’t budge. My 2000 7.3 was had a rough idle afterwards and I’m sure it’s the valve. So let’s find out. But over all would definitely recommend going with motor craft than any other brand. Update it’s definitely running a lot smoother. She’s steady and the injectors don’t sound like they are starving anymore. Excellent product! Will definitely purchase from here again if I ever need another! ... show more

  • Faulty IPR out of the box. Stop buying from Amazon and use a diesel specialty site.
Stop buying from Amazon and use a diesel specialty site, one that you can review on the forums. I installed this one and it didn't work and took me a long time to properly diagnose as I had a PCM IPR circuit failure at the same time. Reinstalled the old one and works fine. If you own a 7.3 powerstroke, you aren't dumb and chances are you know how to work on stuff. The time it takes to change one of these, and if you're lucky to realize your new IPR is bad, you could have waited a few more days for shipping from said reputable site and been a lot happier in the end. Especially if you're paying for labor. If more people demanded quality items and stopped taking short cuts by ordering the cheaper components, these no name companies would stop making crap parts that fail immediately or shortly after install. Please. ... show more

  • Im a believer in buying oem parts for my powerstroke..
The OEM parts for the powerstroke engines are definitely the best way to save headaches. I considered getting a cheaper price part. Im pretty sure that if I had went cheap I'd still be chasing the fault with my engine. Even tho I have 30+ years as a mechanic under my belt, these years were working on gas powered vehicles. this is my first time owning a Diesel or doing anything other than basic stuff on one... and having to try and diagnose a fault causing a no start on it was a whole new world of difference and learning. Not knowing if I had even found the defective part was scary enough. Thinking if i bought a cheap version of the part and it was inadequate or defective was even more scary. I had already purchased cheaper batteries for it and learned that a no start is possible due to low cranking speed... After careful research.. I thought of my newly learned battery lesson and got the OEM part like everyone said in their stories, and to my surprise I nailed it... WELL WORTH THE EXPENSE OF THE OEM PARTS... ... show more

  • Genuine OEM part.
Genuine OEM replacement part at a reasonable price. Every 7.3 Powerstroke owner should carry three spare parts at all times: 1). This IPR 2). A spare CPS 3). A spare ICP sensor With these spares “on-board”, you will greatly diminish the possibility of needing a tow truck on the side of the road!

  • Fixed truck no start
I had been experiencing random stalls over speed bumps and trying to accelerate from a stop on an up hill grade. Truck finally died when trying to accelerate from a rolling idle on level ground. I had to hone out a deep well socket to fit over the part but other than that easy part swap and the truck started right up. No MIL engine light either, BTW. It has worked reliably for over two months. ... show more
