First off this product is very heavy duty! Very easy to understand instructions and best of all if you have done like me and added newer wheels to an older jeep (1997 TJ) this will allow you to add the right spare without having to modify the original spare carrier! I did have the issue with a stud that spun so I contacted the manufacturer via their website and they asked for a screen shot of my order and a pic of the stud. Within 30 min I got a phone call from them and they had a replacement to me in two days! I went to a 35 inch tire on my Jeep Wrangler, but the spare wouldn't fit because of the light on the spare tire mount. This was easy to install TO ALL WHO AAY ITS DIFFICULT: the bottom has holes cut out that are slightly larger on the back plate, you can fit the bolt through that hole and line it up with the front hole and it will line up perfect. DON'T try to put the bolt in the gap between the 2 plates, the bolt is too long and it won't work. ... show more

Durable and easy to install. I agree that the bolts should be shorter but mine tightened before bottoming out. I do NOT like that they are trying a 1 size fits ALL. As normal, that means ‘none fits rights’ so wheel is turned and not level. Most prob don’t care but that OCD will getcha if you let it.

    • Made more than enough clearance for 33" tires
This is well made and easy to install. The stock tire mount did not allow my 33" tire to clear the bumper on my Jeep TJ. . After adding the MotoFab spacer I had plenty of clearance in both the outward and upward direction. It is built very well and does the job. One note, you will need to buy a spacer for your 3rd brake light as it will not have enough clearance to be seen above the tire, that is an extra expense. I would buys this again. ... show more

Works as intended. Perfect clearance for 33” tires and it didn’t hide the brake light so no need to extend that.
