The media could not be loaded. We bought this 3 months ago and have been using it regularly many times a week. Yes, it's a big ticket decision, but the opportunity to return it after 60 days led us to think it was worth a try. We've been studying up on the importance of resistance training, along with our aerobic workouts, to extend healthspan as we age. Without strength training, apparently 1% of muscle mass degrades each year, and 4% of muscle strength each year! It's so slick looking we have it in the living room! (Hint: put it on a yoga mat if you're putting it over a carpet). It takes up very little room. We've owned dumbbells and resistance bands for years, but they end up back in the closet after a few well-intentioned weeks of use. They all get too boring. On the other hand, the Motion Space Trainer is fun and is something we look forward to using. And it's sitting right out there, so it's hard to avoid. That's a good thing! We're both in our 70's, strong and fit, and it's perfect for our use. But we've had younger friends come over to try it and it's totally challenging for them as well. I think it goes up to 250 lbs of resistance. One of the best things about it is being able to adjust the resistance in one pound increments. This is particularly important for those of us on the lower end of strength. For example, I used to find when a 10 pound dumbbell was too little that sometimes going to a 15 pound bell was too much. Now instead I can just dial in 11 pounds, or 12 pounds, or 13 or 14... Since we often use it together (which keeps it really fun) there are many things we can do simultaneously. Like a one-arm bicep curl. We switch sides as we rest one arm, then switch back. Many exercises are like this. And because it's so easy to adjust the resistance weight, it's perfect for each of us. In fact, on some things we do we dial in the left side as having more resistance than the right (or vice versa) - the machine is that clever that it allows that. We already had a weight bench, and that has proved invaluable for many exercises like bench press and fly. There were several moves we wanted to do that we had to get a bit clever about - so we got a split piece squat rack bench (like the F2C Max Load 550Lbs Pair sold here) and use a 3" Schd 40 PVC pipe or a metal pipe on the rack, and then put the resistance wires over that pipe to allow pull down moves (see movie). The pipe on the squat rack is also great as a balance bar for squats - we put the included waist belt on and hook the resistance wires to it and do deep knee plunges, holding onto the bar for balance. The app that comes with the machine is useless. But that is a very small deterrent. There's so many great strength videos online that it's easy to learn and find new motivation. One of the important things about the Motion Space Trainer is that there is no monthly subscription, as many of the high-end machines in this field require. And if the company were to go out of business, you'd still have a great machine to use forever, whereas the competition - were they to go under - would leave you with a useless hunk of machine on the wall that was virtually unusable because so many of them require their software to use. The Motion Space Trainer is really solid and well built too. Heavy duty steel. All the parts feel like they're made to last and very durable. And there's a little button you can move around as you need it to turn the resistance on and off without bending down to activate it - nice when you're on the bench with a large resistance holding you down. I got this during a lighting deal. It's something I've been looking at for months, and was looking forward to finally owning one. It arrived on time, for my birthday. All was well packaged and everything in the box appears to be of high quality. It's a solid piece of equipment. The design is fantastic and super convenient, as it does fold, to being half its size. Very easy to fold and unfold. Everything about it is fantastic, including the app and features. At 265 lbs. (266 lbs. in some references), of resistance, I knew I had to get this device, having 3 modes; "normal" eccentric, and "speed". Sadly, the positives here end. On Monday, it was my leg day. I set the device at 200 lbs. to do back squats. The right side of the device fails, and the resistance completely lets go. I am presented with an error that states "Device abnormal please restart the device 0x0 RCE". I figured it was a fluke. It was completely frozen, so I did just that; I restarted the device. I attempted to do my squats again, and yet the same thing happened. The right side of the device fails, and the resistance completely lets go. Third time's the charm, and yet again; the same exact error; "Device abnormal please restart the device 0x0 RCE" I decided to submit a return. I didn't use the device for a day. I figured to give it another shot on deadlifts. Yep; the error happened again and it consistently gives me the "Device abnormal please restart the device 0x0 RCE" Error, every single time now. It's very dangerous, if you're a novice about things like this. There was no option to have a replacement. I'd give it another shot, but that option was never given to me, so I've returned the entire system back. Overall, if it wasn't for that faulty feature, the device would be amazing and I'd definitely would have kept it, and would have gladly recommended it to others. But it seems to be a common fluke/error/bug/glitch, as I have seen at least one other customer have the same exact issue as myself, on the same exact side as well. If they can manage to actually fix this issue, then this device is great and I would highly recommend it. Otherwise, if this is a consistent issue with the device, then definitely look somewhere else. There are other companies, that seem to have the same exact design. I'm wondering however if the internals are different. In any case it's been packed away and sent back to the company. Wish it were a different story than this. If you ended up with one that doesn't potentially cause a hazard to you, then congratulations to you! I wish I was you. :) ... show more

I'm not good in writing reviews but I will give it a try. I have had the motion Space for about eleven months. I use it a lot and it takes little room. It could at times be hard to open but I can deal with that. The handles that it came with can be better, the straps on the handles wore away and snapped. The app that you use can be improved it at times would skip reps' example I do ten reps and at times it will jump from 2 to 8 or even disconnect. The handles should also have Bluetooth button to start the exercise the one that comes with it is only usable on the bar. Also, the power cord could be longer. The machine is good otherwise. I don't enjoy going to a gym a lot of people tends to hog equipment's. I see that the price has dropped considerably from when I bought it. For the price it is worth it if you will use it. ... show more

Only 2 stars because the bench that was recommended was only the basic bench and I needed the upgrade one with the extra arms so I can do more bench work outs so now I have to wait till I have the money to get the upgrade bench then i can give honestly rest and give a real review of the product

I used to do modeling 24/7 gym but cancel my gym membership so many people and germs specially NYC dident make time to go recently i wanted something compact take too much not making noise and do work most of my body and happily found it feels like pro trainer specially you dont need somone spot you with Bluetooth releases aLos customer support quick response.
