What can I say? It is sand. Looks, feels like sand. The sand is awesome. I use it for my succulent plants. Color is that of sand, light beige, it functions well for my succulents, it retains moisture. It is clean sand and the size of bag is affordable for the money.

I was surprised how much sand came in the package. I used it to cover the soil in quite a few of my houseplants to deal with a gnat infestation. Even after repotting some plants and using it as a cover for the others, I have a ton left. The gnats seemed to instantly leave the soil, and so far I haven't seen nearly as many flying around the house. It's only been a few days but I think the sand may have deterred them, fingers crossed. Plus the sand just looks really nice in the pots. I added some tumbled rocks on the sand and it looks very cute. Just be careful to not add the sad as a top when the soil is too wet still. I did that and it made a bit of a mess and the sand didn't disperse well. ... show more

    • Bag was ripped
The sand itself is fine, but the bag was stabbed open in the amazon box it came in. Spilled everywhere and was very hard to use and transport due to the lack of care put into packing the product.
