My initial thought of opening the box was, oh no, so many pieces to put together. Yikes. The leaves are of good quality. I wouldn’t say I like the weird basket and other plants to put in the bottom of the basket to make it stand up. It still falls over, and the basket is very warped. This will be perfect if you have your own pot to put it in. It took about 5 minutes to assemble and overall has a great realistic look And does the job! ... show more

I love the tree, but there is a few things you should get before putting it together. Rocks and glue. If you plan on using the basket you will need rocks to keep it weighted down otherwise it just falls over since the basket comes in rolled up and it just makes the tree unstable . Next use some glue on the joints the leaves easily come out and if you move the tree just slightly they all get out of place. Other than that it looks beautiful the bottom flowers are a nice touch. It looks good enough. I had a similar one and needed a second for the opposite end. It has fewer leaves and I can't really turn them around for the "pretty" side but it allows me to choose where to place each leaf. The leaves vary in size who I got it to a similar height to the one I had and wider looking. I like that it has more decoration leaves the bottom and what looks like lavender. I have always had several live kentia palm trees in my home and I have to admit, it does get tiring watering, trimming and then eventually having to throw them out to replace with new ones because they inevitably end up dying, even if it's after a long stretch of time. I thought maybe I could mix in one artificial tree with the two other live ones I have in the same vicinity, hoping nobody would notice. I didn't have high hopes for this tree because again, I am not a big fan of fake plants and have always opted to have real trees. I don't know, once I put it into one of the pots where I had a real kentia palm, I have to say that it is pretty nice to see a full palm without all of the browning, wilting fronds. I am pleased that they offered a 6 foot tall tree and it certainly is a lot more affordable than buying a live tree that again, doesn't last forever. I definitely wouldn't use the little dinky basket included--the key is to put it into a really nice pot with some moss like you would use for a live tree. I don't expect anyone in my family to notice this tree either way because we have always had a tree in this corner, but if for some reason somebody does notice and asks why I got a fake tree, I will update this review and knock a star off. For now, I am pleased with this tree because it looks real enough for me! ... show more
