Not heavy at all but appears to be pretty heavy duty. Lots of different styles of lightweight hoses on market, but with this one at least we know it won't get hung up, punctured or pierced by any of the cactus or sharp rocks our garden.

This hose and others like it are basically long stainless steel shower hoses. This one, at least, apparently has proprietary fittings, that I could not find online. So, here's how I fixed mine: Photo 1: I dis-assembled the hose end assembly and cut the inner hose where a tear/crack had developed and was leaking. I carefully cut through the steel crimp band using a rotary tool with pointed burr tip, making sure to not cut the inner (nylon?) barb. Photo 2: the now-exposed proprietary double-o-ring barbed fitting next to a common ⅜" barb that I was going to use but was too big. Photo3: I placed the now-split steel crimp band onto the inner hose end, and cut an approx. 1/2" long piece of 3/4" dia. heat-shrink tubing (the kind that is a 3:1 shrink ratio and has adhesive) Photo 4: This is how it all looked after inserting the nylon barb and applying heat with a heat gun for about 20 seconds. While the heat-shrink tubing was still hot, I used my fingers to squeeze all around, flattening it as much as possible so the outer steel collar/shut-off valve would go over it. Photo 5: The finished repair. It was difficult to tighten, I think the heat-shrink tubing may have crumpled-up inside, but it all worked. The heat-shrink tubing may not even be needed, as the integrated threaded collar and shut-off valve act as a compression fitting around the steel crimp band. ... show more

I Bought 2 .. they Never kink... I always take the pressure off the hose after turning off the water.. (per manufacturers suggestion) I’ve literally been using the hose every day. So far it seems like the perfect garden hose. I WILL be bringing them in for the winter (just in case) Michigan winters can be pretty harsh. Have absolutely no complaints about this product. I would definitely upgrade the nozzle. It's water pressure leaves a lot to be desired. Is there a recommendation for a better nozzle out there? is there another sprayer that uzzint suck?

This is my third Morvat hose. One for each outside hose bib on our home. No leaks, no rust, easy to use and coil neatly when done. Looks great as well. Do have a 50’ hose on a wheeled reel to use at any of the bibs when needed.
