It doesn't leak, which is pretty important since most likely you're drinking a hot beverage out of it. It's so cool to watch the mug decor change to the marauders' map so I definitely think it was worth the money I spent to buy it. This is a great, well made mug. It’s a nice size as well. The only slight downside is that the liquid has to be extremely hot for the mug to change to where you can see it well. Overall, it was a great gift!
