I recently had to replace a lot of my plastic containers because of a gluten allergy (gluten can stick to plastic and cookware). So I decided that glass would be better because it's easier to clean and nothing really sticks to it -- at least not gluten. These containers are great. I only use the ones that have snap-on lids now because they just work better. You can take them with you and don't have to worry about them popping off or food leaking in your bag. The glass on these is really thick -- comparable to glass bakeware -- so it should last a long time. The lids feel fairly sturdy as well, and I like that they are clear on top so you can see what's inside. This is definitely a step-up from my plastic containers. They are heavier, of course, but will last much longer. They also fit inside each other so they are easy to store. ... show more
