Top Amazon Reviews

  • A fun Souls-like with some changes to the formula.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5
This is the mini-review I posted to social media: The first Morbid, subtitled The Seven Acolytes, was an isometric Souls-like with pixel art. I never got around to playing, but this follow-up seemed like my kind of thing; and it is! It's a third-person action game with Souls-like elements, and just the kind of visual and world design I like in games of this type. A lot about is on-the-nose when it comes to aping its inspirations (ex: areas called Dunghaven and the Rejectorium). It strays from the formula in other ways. It lacks a corpse run (you don't lose "experience" upon death, just your multiplier). It has interesting weapon and perk upgrade systems rather than traditional stats (it's not really an RPG). There are different weapon types, plenty of bosses, and multiple big areas to explore and fight your way through. Fun! ... show more
