  • Super light but cheaply made
This is exactly what it looks like: a piece of plastic with a short section of diamond grit glued to it. Mine had some adhesive on one edge of the diamond surface that I have to work around or it throws off the edge. It's a nice tool for backpacking for touching up a hunting knife and is easy to clean. But don't expect much more from it. ... show more

  • Great edge cleaner
Great for a portable way to tune up your knives. Not for complete sharpening.

  • Effective, but cheaply made (and not inexpensive)
I thought, for whatever reason, this was a ‘full-tang’ so-to-speak sharpener with a red rubber coating for the handle and a diamond plate on the end. Nope. It’s a cheap hunk of red plastic with a paper-thin plate of diamond sharpening material on the end. Not at all worth the price, and not at all the quality I have come to expect from Mora. I like collecting Moras, and this is a nice addition to that collection. It does have a functional plate of diamond sharpening material to rub out burrs and barbs on a knife edge that develop in the field and would otherwise hinder continued work. But it’s not exactly a winning design or a great product—other diamond sharpeners are cheaper and exactly as effective at shaping steel. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you happen to have extra cash laying around and don’t mind paying a premium just to have a Mora-branded sharpener. ... show more

Having bought 1 for my "go to" Mora 511, I must admit I was surprised how easily it restored its edge after a week in the woods (not quite as good as the factory edge, but still sharper than most non-Mora factory edges) the edge on a Mora is hard to wreck anyway, but after a week of batoning and making kindling and old fashioned whittling, it does lose the ol' bite. 30 seconds on this sharpener later and my 511 was ready for my next trip. I bought another one just like it. ... show more

  • Not worth thw money
Overpriced junk. Don't buy this seriously. Only good thing about it is lightweight and portable. Not worth the price at all.

not very practical. I prefer my diamond stones from DMT and my DC4 and CC4 from Fallkniven

  • Not Much
A big nothing, way over priced.

  • Almost ruined my knife
Had to go all the way down to 200 grit and reprofile the knife, then work back up to 2000 on the edge to remove the damage this caused. Made mistake of assuming because it was Mora it would be quality item, i think this is meant to be a last ditch survival sharpening tool. This has to have particles sizes in the range of 100 to 400, not 600 grit that the "fine" would lead you to believe. ... show more
