If you dont you might see wax tunneling burn the candle so the wax pool reaches the edge of the tin each time. Having made the switch to an artificial tree a few years ago, I've really missed the smell of a fresh cut tree around the holidays. Bought one of these hoping that it would provide that realistic scent that all of the "big box" candles claim to provide but don't. Well, just one of these is strong enough to fill my whole downstairs with that awesome evergreen smell! Do note that these are smaller in stature than the Yankee Candles of the world.
