I hesitated a long time before buying this trike. But I love it. Have only ridden 3 times now, but it is peppy with great get up and go. I use the pedal assist, but the bike has a throttle for getting up some steep hills. We live on a lake and it has been so fun riding around it on the Trike. I was not able to ride a bike for years due to balance and strength issues. But this one has allowed me to enjoy biking again.     • Assembly a nighmare; poor battery electronics
Mooncool supplies you with one tool: a small "S" bent Allen wrench, which is largely useless. For the money you spend on this trike, they should advise you to purchase ~$50 of 3/8" or 1/4" shocket kit with allen head socket ends. It is impossible to use their supplied allen wrench to make many of the connections (e.g. the coupling between the rear fender and axel. You will need about a 20" extender to reach the screw. They should have included a simple circuit to automatically cut charging after charging reaches a safe level for the battery type. Instead, one has to use the bike electronics to measure the level (requiring you to use a mounted battery. If you are charging inside the home, tough. One of my neighbor's home burned down from over charging a similar type of battery, albeit much larger. ... show more

I've been wanting to buy an electric buy for a few years now and have been waiting to find one that was not over the top expensive and had all the features I was hoping for. This bike took less than an hour to put together and is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! It is a little squeaky in the front but I'll put some spray on there to fix that. I love this bike so much and am so happy to have found it 😍 oh and the shipping was great, it arrived super quick however I would recommend someone being home when it's delivered, the box is huge! My wife and I purchased two moon cool trikes model tk1. The trikes came mostly came pre assembled. The two rear fenders and the front basket along with the headlight and water bottler holder needed to be installed. The curious thing was that although both bikes were the same model only difference being the color, the way the rear fenders mounted was different. On the orange model the fenders mounted a screwed on clamping system. On our slate Grey trike the fenders mounted by three spoke like connecters which attached by 6 screws. On the clamping fenders the screws were tight and took a little effort to get on since lining up the screws was a bit tough. Now the other trike where you had to attach three spokes to secure the fender it was much more difficult because of were the screw were to attach and the amount of room you had to tighten the bolts. This was very tedious and took much more time than expected. With very little room to get you hand Inbetween the spokes of the tires to get the screws lined up and tightened up this made the process take a long time. I saw a video where a woman said it only took her 30 minutes to assemble. Of course this was on YouTube. I'm pretty good with my hands and with my wife's help it took us around 3 1/2 hours to assemble both trikes. The trikes are very well made and we are looking forward to lots of fun going for rides. So is this trike worth it? Absolutely, just take your time and be patient with the assembly. I would definately recommend. ... show more

    • Fair price and definitely worth it
It's a good rim and well built. I bought it to switch out the hubs and use it for my Schwinn Meridian26" which is damn near impossible to find and overpriced when you do.I payed $50. each and by doing it this way saved $50 each.
