My teen wanted a bean bag chair and I thought "ew really, they're kind of terrible aren't they"? But I shopped around and finally settled on this for a birthday present. I stand corrected, it's actually pretty great! Although it was more than I planned to spend, it's much more comfy than I expected and I love that it doesn't take up a ton of space. Things we love about it: • It doesn't take up a lot of space - it can easily be stood up in a corner of the room and takes up very little floor space. • It's surprisingly supportive - once you get into it, it really forms to you all of your curves. • With a pillow behind your head it makes an amazing movie watching seat. • You can lay down on it or if you have it in the vertical position, you can sit down in it like a chair and it's quite comfy that way even for an adult. • The cover is easily removed and it's washable. • While it seemed expensive to me at first, when I compared the prices with places like pottery barn kids/teen, it was actually a bargain - and a more space saving design. What we don't love: • It's a little stinky - we've only had it for 2 weeks so I'm hoping it will mellow out a bit. It's not super strong - definitely not bad enough to keep us away from it, but if you're super sensitive to smells you might not like it. Honestly I don't really smell it unless I bury my face in it. All in all, we're super happy with the purchase. I might even consider getting the optional head/arm rest at some point, although for now a large squishmallow is a great substitute. :) ... show more

    • Why I Regret Buying the Moon Pod: A Costly Disappointment

I was really looking forward to using the Moon Pod, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. From the start, it was much smaller and firmer than I expected, lacking the cozy, sinking feeling I was hoping for. Instead of providing the "floating" sensation they advertise, it felt awkward and not very comfortable, especially for longer periods of time. After just a few weeks, the filling started to lose its shape, becoming lumpy and uneven, which only made it more uncomfortable. The fabric also didn’t hold up well—within a short time, it started to show signs of wear, with the material pilling and the seams looking like they might give out. Despite all these issues, I decided not to go through the hassle of returning it. In hindsight, I wish I had, because for the price I paid, I expected something much better. Now I’m stuck with a product that doesn’t live up to its promises, and I wouldn’t recommend the Moon Pod to anyone looking for a truly comfortable and durable seating option ... show more

So, will admit, was a bit skeptical of the marketing before purchasing, wondering if this just a really pricey, albeit differently shaped, bean bag chair. Was it worth the hype? I bought for my wife about 2 months ago, who has a bad beck, and often has pain in her neck, shoulders, etc. Also, a high-stress household. However, the chair is very comfy, relieves stress, and helps to somewhat relieve her pain areas. What was surprising to us is how much the kids like it. In fact, that might be a downside, as my wife often has trouble getting to use it, since the kids will use it whenever they can. On the good end of that though, it really helps to relieve stress and be able to calm down our 8yo daughter. Which is big bonus. It's a bit on the pricey side, yes, but already, well worth the price. In our 2 adult, 2 kid household, it gets used by us all...daily. So I'm happy to say the skepticism I initially had is without merit - we all love this product and am so glad we got it. ... show more

Wasn't sure if it would be worth the $, but it is. I have the chair, footstool and horseshoe. Most comfortable place to sleep. One drawback: you have to cover it yourself. But really easy on my back.

This is one of the best investments I have made in a long while. I have numerous back problems and have tried recliners and various other furniture pieces for comfort. Nothing compares to this. It fills in the contours of your body and you can honestly fall asleep in this moon pod in a very short time. The only issue I have on occasion is getting up from it. It's a little tricky but that is not because of the pod, it just has to do with being able to figure out the best way to position myself so I can stand up. I would recommend this to anyone who has back, hip, or neck issues for getting relief from pain. ... show more

My spouse and I bought the moon pod and crescent pod. We love it! Definitely super comfortable. We wanted something to sit on the floor in our game room and so our dog can lay with us. There are perfect. I play Genshin and the crescent pod is so nice to hold up my arms while I play (pure laziness). And omg naps are the best on them. They are definitely an investment but worth it. We contemplated on these for like a year. The price is worth it because not only are the cover sleeve removable and washable, it comes with the stuffing as well which most bean bags we looked at didn’t. ... show more

It’s a uniquely advertised chair. I thought it would be something other than just a bean bag and I didn’t read carefully enough. I guess they do have some kind of special magnetised beads. Otherwise it is a lot like a regular beanbag chair. It’s very light. It does not feel as supportive as it looks in the ads. It’s sort of what the pics show,, but for 300 dollars i felt it was not worth the effort you have to go through to use it.
