As soon as we opened it and released the vacuum seal it puffed out. It said the best results would be in 48 hours but she cozied up with it instantly and it was shaped. I tried it too and i’ve decided i’m getting one for myself too!! You don’t need to be pregnant to enjoy this. I have a body pillow but it doesn’t hug me like this pillow did. It also helped with my back a lot. I was falling asleep within minutes. My sister has slept with this every night for over a month and it’s still held its shape. I also like how it’s not too thick or thin. It’s very soft, has nice stuffing (might need to be evened out a bit though after opening), and it’s pretty cooling already with no cooling case. The one i received already had pretty even stuffing. There was just one spot that needed a bit of fluffing. I think the shape, design, and size also play a key factor in what makes this pillow amazing! Highly recommend pregnant or not! I bought this so I can relax with my hips laying in bed. I used last night for the first time oh my God I had no pain in my hips. It was just wonderful to be able to rest. 6 hours straight. I'm a 5'2 petite woman who is 29 weeks pregnant weighing 146lbs and it hugs my body perfectly. I've been having insomnia throughout the pregnancy. Overall, it gives a good support to the back, but it could need more cushion on the tummy. Otherwise, it does its job and puts me to sleep well.

After spending 5 weeks in a recliner post- mastectomy, I really longed to sleep in my bed. I bought a foam incline but it was very uncomfortable. This is heaven! I used the u part under my knees while sleeping on my back and put it on top of two pillows to incline it. It’s very soft. I could easily get out of it without ripping my stitches. Due to my hormone inhibitors, I have pretty bad night sweats. I was happy to learn that I could wash the entire outer case. It zips off and I threw it into the wash and then the dryer. It came out great. I find it a little hot near my neck, so I use a pillowcase or you could use a sheet to drape the entire thing. I purchased the cool sheets on Amazon that are wonderful for menopause! In short, this is extremely comfy and made my sleep so much better. It saved me. I was getting claustrophobic in the recliner and this allows me to sleep in my bed and get the rest I need. ... show more

I am pleased with this pillow that I purchased to replace 2 body pillows. Even with a "cool" cover, the body pillows kept me too hot and would fall off the bed as I tossed and turned. Not so with the maternity pillow because my head keeps it anchored. This pillow feels like those squishy toy animals and I want to hug it all night. Even when rolling over, the other side provides support and comfort. It is cool to the touch which was an important feature for me. Only downside is that it could be a few inches longer as I sleep more stretched out than in a ball but that is a personal not product issue. ... show more

Despite meeting the criteria of 'Prime-only', the time it took to receive was way too long. I had originally selected the cooling cover but didn't realize it had been changed to velvet until I received the product. Between purchase and repackaging, I'm not going through the hassle of an exchange. Because the product is designed to encompass your body, the velvet is way too much, and I LOVE heat. A majority of the time I wake with a sweaty neck, with the occasional other body part. The biggest benefit to this product would be the offer of spare pillowcases. I would prefer to see a spare included with the pillow, however in the least, spares should be offered separately. Since this isn't an option, I'll have to buy a whole new pillow when all or part of the product is finally worn down. I HATE washing the pillowcase. It is such a PITA to remove/replace, and the little card that the product came with suggests removing stuffing to make this process easier. Really, MORE work on laundry day? We couldn't just make a zipper that spans the whole shape like a sleeping bag? While the pillow is comfortable I do wish the filling was memory foam or at least something stiffer. I feel like over time, the filling will lose the ability to support you. On the other hand, the lightness of it makes it easy to move the pillow around. Between my husband and dog, I don't have to struggle to adjust or move the pillow to change positions, and that's a huge bonus. I will probably keep searching for a U-shape that fits my needs more. My biggest hurdle is finding a full-support pillow without sacrificing use of a separate pillow for my head. However, this is a decent purchase whether you're pregnant or not. Previously, I would wake with 85-100% pain due primarily to an issue with my L5-S1 fused wrong, but now I wake with 1-5% pain and no more stiff joints or muscles elsewhere. ... show more
