Ok, this is a weird product, but worth it if you are doing any outdoor activity where you don't have refrigeration. I bought these as an experiment for an backpacking trip. I usually take cheese sticks for the first 3 days - after which, cheese really starts to separate, and be questionable (I still plan to experiment with some of the drier cheeses). But these things did the trick. Think Cheetos, in terms of texture - only much better in terms of flavor! These stuff is really enjoyable. I especially liked the Gouda. Based on the labels, these are nothing but 100% cheese, somehow puffed up like a crunch snack. I highly recommend them! ... show more

I was browsing Amazon in the hopes of finding unique car snacks and came across Moon Cheese. I like astronaut food and I like cheese so I thought - why not? Then I found out why not. Because real cheese is better. This certainly had a cheese like taste but it was mostly the aftertaste of cheese. Let's say you sit down to some fine cheddar cheese and you eat it all and walk away to live your life. In your mouth now is the memory of cheddar, but a sad memory that tastes more like a need to brush your teeth. That's what moon cheese tastes like. But that isn't to say I didn't eat every last crumb of these. However, these would make better croutons for soup than croutons do. So buy them for texture in your tomato soup! ... show more

I'm on a Keto diet, and these are perfect to keep in my desk at work for whenever I get a craving for something crunchy or just need a small snack. I wanted to try all three, so the variety pack was perfect. I LOVE the Pepper Jack flavor. Gouda just tastes like a ball of grease in my opinion, and Cheddar is sort of boring. I'm glad I got the variety pack to see what I liked, but I'll probably stick to just ordering Pepper Jack and sometimes Cheddar from now on. I found this brand because Starbucks carries Mozzarella flavor, which I love! Too bad they don't sell that. It does seem a bit overpriced for as small as the bags are, especially when Starbucks sells the same size bag for $2 in their stores. It should be $6-7 for all three at the very most in my opinion... ... show more

Very tasty. I got a sample pack (one each) of three flavors - Gouda, Cheddar and Pepper Jack. While the taste for each cheese was representative of its expected flavor, I'd say that the Pepper Jack was my favorite. Think of these treats more as a delicacy than a filling snack because the packets aren't large - it was a sample pack after all. If you're think of sitting down and eating a whole bag as a healthy and filling snack, get one of the larger bags. Also, I liked the fact that these snacks had a healthy expiration date of nearly a year - not that they'll be sticking around for that long. : ) ... show more

    • Terrible Product.
If you have ever wondered how to solve the pothole problem (hey, New Orleans, listen up!), this is the product you need. The are more dense than those who believe the Democrat Party primaries are legit. Product has no flavor - cheese or otherwise. It tastes like crunchy cardboard. I have tried other cheese-based crunchies, and without naming names, this product does not compare. The nuggets are heavy, and they harbor an aftertaste that I can only imagine is what a dog gets after saying hello to his best friend. Were I to be stranded in the mountains or on a desert island with a case of this stuff, I know I could build a sturdy adobe-style hut, but I would truly be afraid that eating a bag & then drinking water could, in fact, result in my stomach being clogged with a mortar-like substance. ... show more

    • A Low Carb Must Have.
Anyone on a low card diet (who still eats dairy) should know about these. It's like little cheese crunchies that are perfectly salted (lightly) in a light and tasty treat. I lit up when I tried the first one. Now the pepper jack and Gouda says there are ZERO carbs The Cheddar has 2. The pepper jack packs a spicy punch that stronger than I suspected it would be. Still satisfying and completely fullfilling as a snack. The Gouda is light with not as much cheesy taste but still a welcome mouth treat. Of course, my favorite (Cheddar) has a creamy filling and just the right medium punch. YUM. So if you are low carb or just like cheese and don't want the chemicals of store brand chips, these are delightful.     • Good for keto diet/gluten free, not so good for taste
A gluten-free friend of mine recommended these to me. She raved about them so I knew that I had to try them when I decided to start my keto diet (very few carbs, high fat, moderate protein). These are 0 carbs, one of the flavors has 1 carb. Still extremely low in carbs since they're pure cheese. I was really excited to try them in the hopes that they would provide an alternative fix to my chip addiction. On the first bite of the Gouda pack, they had a kind of weird flavor. Sort of a sour milk/stale cheese taste. I kind of wrote it off as just dried cheese flavor or perhaps just some of the smokiness of the Gouda flavor. I tried the cheddar cheese pack next, same taste. I had my co-workers try it to see what they thought and, without me mentioning anything, they immediately said it tasted like "stale cheese" and strongly advised me not to eat any more of them. I guess I was kind of expecting something maybe similar to Pirate's Booty, I don't know why. These are unpalatable and I don't think I can stomach any more of them. I really wanted to like them since they are excellent for my diet, but I just can't. Regular cheese it is for me. ... show more
