  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD -- Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE -- Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE -- Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade

  • Great replacement for ZW7 suspension option.
Tried these to replace the old worn out zw7 smooth ride option shocks without having to change the coil springs. Rides great now and the rid quality from the back feels just as good as the Bilstein shocks on the front.

  • Exact fit for ZW7 replacement
Fits 00-06 suburbans with the zw7 rpo code shocks. They ride a lot better. If any ride height is gained it isn't very noticable. They look a lot better under there too which is a nice touch. Definitely a good deal. Easy to install.

  • No more bouncing off the seats
I bought a used suburban and have been fixing all the little issues with it. I thought I was done until we had the truck full of people one evening. Every time I hit a bump the passengers in the third row would bounce off the seat. The ride felt perfectly smooth in the front seats so I started looking for rear shocks. OEM premium smooth ride shocks came in so just under $1000 bucks. Way more then I was willing to put into a 23 year old car. After researching a bit I found lots of good comments on these so I decided to try them. Well for the price you can't go wrong. The back end is solid now and it lifted the rear about an inch. No more bouncing and my passengers are happy. I'm sure you can find smoother more comfortable shocks but you will certainly pay more too. ... show more

  • Nice shocks
I installed these over a months ago, and I love how my truck rides with them. I mean they are perfect if you’re maintaining stock ride height. I looked at everything available, made myself crazy in the process, and just said F-it I’m ordering the Monroe’s, and that was the move for sure

  • 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL Rear Air Shock Replacements
Bought these for a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Rear air shocks went out so tried these instead of spending $600 on two new air shocks and a blown out pump. Lifted the rear about an inch, so I tightened up the torsion bars a bit on front to level. To install I placed a jack under the tow hitch in back and had to jack it up about a foot. To install these get it in place first, attach the top bolts first, then the bottom bolts, use a screwdriver to align the bottom holes if need be. Remove the old shocks first before jacking it up too. Do both sides at the same time while on jacks. I also pulled the RTD fuse under to hood to turn off the Service Ride Control which disabled RTD system, air pump etc.. as I also replaced fronts with standard shocks. They ride good so far, no complaints. Stiffened up the back end but not "hard". Doesn't look funky of lifted in back. Haven't tried towing but it feels like it will be good for towing ans passenger weight. In all I would say these are a good cheap easy replacement of the stock air shocks as I had hoped for. For the front I went with Gabriel LTV 58803 which seem to work good as well on these Yukons. ... show more

  • Leveled truck when hauling camper
I had used those twist in metal things to level rear of truck but they really don't cut it. Installed these shocks with non-adjustable coil over spring and the truck sits level with camper attached. With camper off truck rear lifts slightly. Will buy again as needed. At the time of this writing that have been on for 3 years. ... show more

  • Got rid of floating on highway
I had a bad shock, and my Yukon would float on the highway These fixed the problem Oddly, these were more difficult to install than the front ones Not a hard install, but I felt like a needed another hand Raised ride height about 3/4" inch Stable ride

  • Almost Completely Worthless
I ordered these shocks for my 2002 Suburban and I have to say that I am completely disappointed. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but the "load adjusting" abilities of these were completely non-existant. I used these to replace the factory (175k mile) shocks on the rear of the truck. When I removed the original shocks from the truck I noticed that they were, A) in amazing condition and were still working great and, B) they were significantly larger than the Monroe shocks. The body of the original shocks was easily 1/2" larger in diameter than the entire outer spring of the new Monroe shocks (which left me worried). I have several trailers I tow on a fairly regular basis ranging from a small pop-up camp trailer to a 16' flatbed to a 24' pontoon boat to a 28' toy hauler. The new Monroe shocks made no difference in the ride height for any of these trailers compared to the factory shocks. In-fact, I use a anti-sway hitch for the toy hauler which weighs easily 100lbs by itself, and just putting the hitch on the back of my suburban will sag it 1" with these shocks. No change from stock. Now again, I wasn't expecting a miracle, but even 30%-40% reduction in sag from the tung weight of a trailer would of been nice. I have noticed that most other reviews for these shocks fail to mention using them with a trailer, or what types of trailers they were used with. As daily driver shocks, they seem to preform exactly like the stock shocks, which is about the best thing I can say for them. No extra stiffness or harsh ride. Just a totally stock feel. ... show more
