  • Nice microphone
style: Microphone
This is a great microphone. The only thing is that you have to keep batteries on hand because it requires batteries and will not work with phantom power. We use this for paging in restaurants and the employees always forget to turn the mic off so the batteries can drain if it’s left on. But its a great deal and works terrific. ... show more

  • Nice mic solution for Zoom-type calls with mute function -- as long as you provide phantom power
style: Microphone
I was looking for a simple, inexpensive table mic that would plug into my audio interface and have a mute or on/off button. This fits the bill. I use it with my Focusrite USB audio interface, and it should work with any audio interface or mixer that supplies phantom power. Setup and operation is simple. Just plug into a mic input of your mixer or audio interface, with phantom power turned on. The toggle button switches between on and off -- with a red light clearly indicating when the unit is on. The mic position is easily adjustable, although I wish the gooseneck portion was a little longer. XLR cables fit securely into this unit -- including the long cable provided. As sound quality goes, it will never be confused with a voiceover-caliber mic, but is perfect for Zoom-type calls. And no pops are heard when the on/off button is pressed. It seems to be a solid, well-made product that should last a long time. ... show more

  • Good for online meetings
style: Microphone
I have been looking for a microphone that has a solid and easy to access on/off button that is easy to operate. During video meetings, if you have several different tabs open it is sometimes difficult to mute/unmute yourself if you are sharing a screen or navigating another resource. I tried a couple of "global" microphone mute hotkey apps, but they weren't really as convenient as I wanted. Though this is listed as a paging microphone, the sound quality is surprisingly good, obviously better than the internal microphones in my 2015 Macbook pro. I have found that it works best of the microphone stand is located off the the side of the computer, with the microphone just to the right or left of where my mouth is pointing. It picks up audio really well, and since all the pops are directed past it, it doesn't pick up any popping or rustling from my speaking. I'm running it through a scarlett solo interface, which supplies it with 48V phantom power. If you don't have phantom power, it requires 2 AA batteries in the base to operate. The base is heavy enough that it won't tip over or move around on a desk as it is used. Again, the main feature is the on/off button. There is a light strip around the head of the microphone that lights up when it is "on" which makes it very obvious when you have the switch on. So far, it is working really well for online meetings, and surprisingly well for video narration. ... show more

  • Great value
style: Microphone
I had been trying out various lavalier microphones with phantom power but they all died off in volume unless pressed close to your mouth. This filled the gap very nicely and less than half the price, it has an on/off switch as well which is great. It obviously isn't a clip on mic but it is sturdy and the reception is great and the price is less than half of the last one I purchased Oh and the cord they provide is super long, most of the time you get a pretty short cord , I don't know the length of this one but it is super long for one you get with the mic ... show more
