Founded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose was born from BMX Racing with products that push the limits of what a rider can do on the track. Our latest line of BMX race bikes, the title series, have been designed using that same race pedigree. Designed for beginner-level riders, the Mongoose Title Pro gives you a trophy-worthy bike at an amazingly affordable price! The title features a lightweight Tectonic T1 aluminum frame (17. 48” top tube), integrated headset, and internal cable routing for clean lines and added protection. The title hi-ten steel 8. 5-Inch rise handlebar and 50mm stem are designed for precision riding, while the strong Exposure double-wall alloy rims and Arisen XLR8 BMX race tires add crucial durability without weighing you down. The 44x16t gearing with 3-piece tubular chromo 175-millimeter cranks, and Euro cartridge bottom bracket offer a high-quality drivetrain capable of winning speeds. Aluminum linear pull brake with aluminum brake levers provide speed control, while the hi-ten BMX fork with 1-1/8" Thread less steered and taper leg helps maximize performance. • Nice cruiser!!
I have not been on a BMX bike in 25 years. My 4 yr old started racing this season, and she is so fast on her Mongoose Title Micro I had to upgrade from the mini schwinn stingray I would ride with her to something that could keep up with her. I dont plan on racing this bike, more just to cruise with the kid and use the bike to demonstrate and teach the kid. I always wanted a 24" BMX and now I have a reason to get one! The bike was packed well. I wouldn't really say it is a beginner bike, as traditionally a person would start BMX racing at an age this bike would be to big to ride, but I guess in todays world 30 is the new 20 so I guess 20 is the new 10? I am 5'8 and this bike fits me just fine. Being a life long bike rider I knew if I wanted to cruise the hood a new seat and post was needed so I ordered that at the time of the bike. Also the crank set is pretty heavy, useable, but heavy and when racing light is right! The bottom bracket has sealed cartridge bearings. The peddles are of the cheap plastic variety. I replaced the bottom bracket, crankset with a hollow tech style, and what a huge weight saving. I also ordered some fancy aluminum peddles, and installed it all right out of the box. You will need to remove the chain guard, and reflectors. The headset is integrated sealed bearings, and very nice quality. The wheels are ok, not sealed cartridge bearings, but they work. The brake, and lever are usable, no plastic parts. I gave a 4 for beginners, as it is on the heavy side for a race bike out of the box. I also ordered a set of chain tensioners, which all race bikes/single speeds should have. There was once a time you could only find Mongoose in bike shops, and they were of top quality. This bike is no different. This is NOT a Wal-goose!! This is a great starter bike, that can be upgraded. I will say this bike is pretty quick, I did not ride it with the factory crank set, seat or post. The bike rolls very well on the stock rims and tires. Some more weight could be lost by swapping the stem, bars, forks, and even wheelset, but if you are a beginner it isnt the most important thing. Its more important to learn technical skills. You can always upgrade this bike as you move up in race class. I did save the crankset for a later project as I am sure I will need a BMX Feestyle/dirt jumper soon enough to work with the kid down the road. I did think abut buying the Title Pro Elite 24, but I think you can build a bike just as good or better at lower cost with this frame. I believe the two bikes come with the same wheel set, the Elite has a CroMo fork and Bars, and I have seen most people eventually upgrade the Elite forks to carbon, which you can also do with this frame. Even with replacing the bottom bracket, crank, and chain wheel to a comparable hollow tech setup i'm still below the cost of the Elite. I have found some carbon forks, and even with that set of forks I would be coming in about the cost of the elite before tax and shipping. Again I am not planning on racing this bike, but it does fly around the track and is making me think twice about it!! I would buy this bike again, and it is early in the BMX season, so I would assume the demand will drop off come late fall, so that maybe a good time to consider a purchase if you can wait that long ... show more

  • High quality, easy to assemble
My son got the 24". The bike came very well packaged and mostly assembled. The only assembly needed was the front tire, handle bars, seat, and pedals. It was very easy! The only complaint is that the seat is uncomfortable and the tilt is non-adjustable, but the bike is beautiful, high quality, and rides great. My son loves it! ... show more

  • He loves it
Color: Black Pro XXL Size: 24-Inch Wheels
So far we love this bike. Used by an 11 year old but also ridden by two adults sometimes. Ira a great budget bmx option. Hubby is a bike mechanic so he made sure things were dialed when he assembled it. I’d but again for sure

  • 21 lbs of adrenaline fueled adult racing. Thats right, same as a Chase Edge.
Color: Red Pro XXL Size: 20-Inch Wheels
First, let me tell you I worked in a probike shop building italian road bikes, lacing up wheel sets all through college. I raced and won triathlons and raced many criterions and marathons. I found this bike for sale one day only at $206 and bought it immediately. The parts looked right and I knew I could give this girl a proper lift up and tune her to her full potential. I just came back from open practice tonight and wow what a wonderful ride. I did tear it completely down to the bearings, grease and start fresh, but in the end I got a light, fast, tight, bmx race bike that flies. When you bounce this weapon on the ground it feels like a basketball. No rattles, no noise, nothing. Just Solid. I'm 5-9 170lbs and bought the pro -xxl. I was easily keeping up with riders on Chase, Supercross, Intimidator, and other exotic carbon and aluminum missiles. I say buy it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Strip it down, lube it up, and reassemble. It will be one of the best, cheap bikes you'll find. My stable also includes Kink, Stolen, Redline, Chase Edge, Giant Liv Carbon Gravel, and a Salsa Cutthroat Carbon Gravel. I know bike and this one does not disappoint. ... show more

  • Race-Ready at sub-23 pounds
Color: Black Elite Pro Size: 24-Inch Wheels
The highlights of this are the frame and forks. I thought I would probably need higher bars because I'm 6'1", but these worked out fine. When I started riding, I was quite heavy (270), and the cassette hub started making popping noises. (I've already lost 30 pounds.) The cassette hub never skipped within the first 2 months of riding, but the noises were getting progressively worse. The back hub seems like a Black Ops with no labels. The rear hub has sealed bearings, but on the drive side, there was only one nut and no lock nut. If you tightened the rear axle, that's probably OK, but the bearings were a bit tighter than they needed to be. The KMC chain was an econo model and stretched in a relatively fast time in about 2 months. The rims are like V rims. I don't know where anyone would buy those separately. The rims are working out fine. They seem fairly wide and are 31mm wide on the inside of the rims. I'm not having any problems with the cranks or the stem. I didn't have a bike and am a returning rider to the sport, so the whole package (with pedals added) was race-ready. Then as some of the parts mentioned wore out, I could upgrade it the way I wanted to. The whole original bike with Time ATAC pedals was under 23 pounds which was impressive. The BB height is 12.5" which works fine for me on modern tracks. On an old school track I liked a lower BB, but I didn't have any problems. The back-end of the frame seems very sturdy in the dropout area. The front hub seems very durable and working fine. They gave some attention to details. I like that they did 32 spoke holes on the front, and 36 hole on the rear wheel. Many parts have black color. For the price range I'd give it 5 stars because the frameset is good, and I can upgrade it as I like when I have the money. ... show more

  • Over price junk
Do not buy this overpriced junk bike. there is no safety for your children? One break on the bike has no kickstand on the bike. Any accessory parts you want to buy different seat? Different petals And so on. Well, you have to buy their product, and they're very, very expensive.
