  • Yeast-tastic!
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
The media could not be loaded. New Mom of twins here and with that came a short supply of milk. I have been trying various things to try and get milk flowing so I tried this powder and it’s like the flood gates finally broke and I have two happy babies. I made scrumptious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with the powder first. It’s very simple to do, you just choose your favorite cookie mix and then blend the powder in with the other dry ingredients. It did not alter the taste of my cookies at all which was great. I noticed a change in my milk supply within 36 hours. If you would like to try my cookies, here’s how I made them: 6 tablespoons of Brewers Yeast Powder 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tbsp flaxseed meal 4 tbsp water 1 cup unsalted butter ¾ cup brown sugar ¾ cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 cup old fashioned oatmeal 1 ½ cup chocolate chips 1. Mix your flaxseed and water and set to the side for 3 minutes. 2. Blend brewers yeast, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt using a sifter. 3. In a separate large bowl mix together butter and sugars, then add your eggs in one at a time. 4. Stir in your flaxseed mix with vanilla extract and blend well. 5. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture. 6. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and if you wish a ½ cup of nuts into your mixture. 7. Place into fridge for an hour. 8. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes 9. Enjoy your yummy cookies! You can freeze your left overs and bake anytime you’re ready! I froze mine for a week and they tasted just like I baked them the first time! The second time I tried the powder was the following morning in my morning shake. I used oat milk, various berries, 2 tablespoons of the brewers yeast powder and ice. I’ve noticed the more acidity I use, the greater the sourness grows. I recommend sticking to more dairy like ingredients to balance the flavors out. Even with the fruit, it wasn’t an unbearable taste by any means. I recommend this to any new Moms who need a milk supply boost because it did work for me personally. Also keep in mind staying hydrated helps milk flow significantly. This powder works its magic best when you’re hydrated! ... show more

  • My review after 3 months of taking daily
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I've been eating a bowl of oatmeal with this in it nearly everyday since coming home from the hospital with my baby(will include recipe). My baby just turned 3 months old. I have a decent milk supply, but some days I make just enough. I have wondered why some days my supply is just enough and others I have an oversupply. I finally payed close attention to what I do the day before I have less milk... I didn't eat my lactation oatmeal. I put ground flaxseed in my oatmeal so I don't know if it is that or this brewer's yeast. I'm guessing it's a mixture of both. I think this works and no other breastfeeding supplement has ever worked for me. Every other supplement makes my milk supply disappear. Here is my really simple lactation oatmeal recipe. I eat one or two bowls of it a day. 1/2 cup oats (I use old fashioned oats) 3/4 teaspoon Brewer's yeast 2 teaspoons ground flaxseed Pinch of salt 1/8 cup brown sugar A bit of cinnamon A bit of butter One cup of water For quick oats, microwave one and a half minutes. For old-fashioned oats, microwave 3 minutes. Stir halfway through. I would not use more Brewers yeast because it does not have a great taste. My recipe masks The taste quite well. The bag lasts a long time. I've gone through about half of the bag in 3 months. Worth a try! ... show more

  • Improved production
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I did see an increase in my milk production. About 3 to 4 more ounces a day. The taste is strong. Originally tried it in oatmeal, but that was not able to mask the taste. Putting it in a chocolate peanut butter banana shake made it palatable. If you are susceptible to yeast infections though I'd advise against this product. I got most of the way through a bag (used 1 to 1.5 tablespoons daily) before the yeast caused an infection. Unfortunately will have to discontinue use. ... show more

  • Great for milk production, funky taste
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 10 Ounce
This has been a lifesaver for me in terms of increasing my milk supply. I needed to stock up my freezer milk stash and while I HATE the taste of this stuff, it’s amazing and works so fast.

  • Tastes terrible
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This tastes terrible, that being said you bought it likely to help with your milk supply. I have no idea if it did. What ever you bury it in to make the taste will be ruined. Good luck

  • It works but there are SIDE EFFECTS
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Bought this to help with my supply as I'm a normal producer and my son is eating 5 to 6 ounces a feeding. After taking only a days worth (2 tablespoons) my stomach was hurting so bad and I was having headaches. It also made me feel super bloated. Not only did it hurt my stomach but it gave my son horrible gas pains and caused him severe discomfort. It works to increase supply but not worth it if my son can't drink it. I've tried everything to increase my supply and this really does work.. it's too bad the side effects are so bad. After doing some research online I've found that headaches and gas are common side effects to taking brewers yeast. Not worth it for me. ... show more

  • Definitely Helped Boost Milk Supply
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 10 Ounce
I put this in my oatmeal for breakfast and could hardly taste it. Also, it does alter the taste of soup giving it a nutty taste. Has the smell of a protein powder with a hint of peanut butter. Consumed twice in one day with plenty of water, and breasts were full by the early evening time. Overall would recommend and buy again. ... show more

  • It’s ok
Flavor Name: Debittered Brewer's Yeast Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I’ve started incorporating this in my smoothies and you can definitely taste it. It’s not “bitter” per se, but it has a hint of something bitter-like. I do like how fine it is though, mixes well. The flavor doesn’t bother me enough to not want to keep using it for the benefits.
