  • Really interesting and easy to use.
Size: 300g Color: Black
Really neat material to use. Sculpts well and generally holds its shape. Does need a little refining during the drying process to maintain sharp edges. The fact you can attach to itself with just water is great. Finished texture was nice took rub'n'buff well. Low odor, drying time was reasonable. Great for cosplay. ... show more

  • Nice clay
Size: 300g Color: Black
I had a ceramic Kitty with a broken ear. I bought this to restructure the ear. It is so soft and has a great texture. It was very good quality. It was easy to shape the ear and it dried perfectly. It's really lightweight and you certainly get a lot of it for the money. Painted it to make sure it was sealed. I don't know if I had to do that or not but I did it anyway. It certainly was a wonderful value and my kitty looks cute. ... show more

  • She tried to fly.....and broke her wing
Size: 500g Color: White
I had to hide this wing from the world after my angel tried to fly during a windstorm. Then the kids moved put and my hubby said for me to take up crafting...ok that was mostly so he can watch football in peace and I would stop renovations around the house! I distress! 😆 the foam clay allowed me to mold and stretch over the entire expanse of the broken wing. I let it dry and set. Now all I need to do is go back and add texture. The foam clay was easy to use, was easy to work with, roll it out, & prep it for the wind repair. The foam clay stuck to the areas I needed it to without much effort. It is fully dry now and sturdy enough to knock on it without any damage! ... show more

  • A solid foam clay - there are some cons and pros depending on project
Size: 1500g Color: White
I regularly cosplay and generally am always crafting. I've used a few types of foam clay and I've found this foam clay to be great for some type of projects over others. This particular brand has very wet, heavy clay and is very easy to shape and work with but due to its heaviness when wet it tends to droop and occasionally lose shape as it dries. Generally for small fine shapes I would rather use an oven bake clay like cosclay and even sculpey or other polymer clay. (or even a paper clay which imo hold smooth shapes better) Some other brands of foam clay have a bit more structure and dry a bit denser and shares the same traits most foam clay does. It can be difficult to blend, is very sticky so can only use burnished wood or metal tools without the clay sticking to tools. It doesn't hold detail super well - you have to overexaggerate details for them to remain sharp after drying. I really love this clay for organic shapes, as the stickiness, blending difficulty generally makes it good at giving a natural and organic look. I generally wouldn't recommend this clay over something like paper air dry clay over small crafts, or kids crafts but I will says it stickiness and softness make this a great option for a wide variety of crafts, especially cosplay. I've used it as a filler for cracks in foam work, used as a glue and various other applications. It dries very light, and will see how it holds up to heat manipulation and heat sealing. ... show more

  • Easy to work with
Size: 300g Color: White
This stuff is super lightweight and very easy to work with. It's great for adding small details or a quick and simple project. Once dry, it is not suitable for large sculptures or carving. However, it is excellent for small items and for fixing cracks in clay projects.

  • What an amazing product! So versatile.
Size: 500g Color: White
In my wild hair projects, I tend to jump in before I'm fully prepared and while I was trying to build my Amanita Mushroom-shaped dollhouse, I'd already begun the project before I even began to consider what I was going to shape the exterior with. I wanted something lightweight, smooth and malleable, and for a while, I was considering papier mache or air-dry clay, but both of those are bulkier and heavier than I wanted. I searched for different materials and came across a cosplayer making something with foam clay. I thought it was a brilliant option and I was not wrong. To work with, it has the feel of soft marshmallow, but without the stickiness. I created a basic armature over the wood and framing with aluminum foil. I used the foam clay directly on that for the stem of the mushroom. It's really cool how it applies in a textured fashion, but sort of puffs up a little and smooths when it dries. The smoother you make it as you apply it, the smoother it will make itself after drying. I put two coats on each surface. For an even smoother surface for the mushroom cap, I added hat mulling, which is in essence, a thin sheet of wool or poly filler one uses to quilt with. I glued that onto the foil armature, and then applied the foam clay over that. It made for a nice, unblemished surface. It dries slightly harder than neoprene. It has a little give. It's sandable, paintable and super-versatile for a craft product. I can think of so many applications you can use it for. From costuming and cosplay, to models, miniatures, toy making and so much more. Excellent product. Totally recommend! It's not cheap. For the amount you get, it seems a little expensive. I had to use two tubs for this project. ... show more

  • Highly unpleasant to work with, but it works.
Size: 500g Color: Grey
Out of the package, it behaves like chewed bubble gum - it sticks to everything. When you try to pull a chunk off, it doesn't break; it strings like gum. This means, when you pull away your fingers from the part you're sculpting, it sticks to your fingers (even if you wet your fingers) and produces strings that cover the entire rest of your project. In fact, the ziplock closure of the bag it came in was immediately fouled when I tried to pull out my first blob of foam. It says it takes 24-48 hours to dry, but it only takes a few minutes to dry to your fingers, leaving you with dried hunks of foam that you then have to dig out of the piece you're smoothing. It acts as if it is both too wet and too dry at the same time. On the positive side, it has no smell unlike Gap Filla, and you're able to create an ultra-fine surface finish smoothing with water. You have to be incredibly careful not to press too hard or you'll pick up strings, but when it works, it works well. ... show more
