There's not many cover+clear back cases on Amazon for the newest kindle. That was surprising to me! It does exactly as stated. The clear back is so that my friend can put stickers in between the case and kindle so that she doesn't have to commit to using these specific stickers! When the time comes, she can switch them up without losing the cute stickers! (Esp when they're like 3-5 dollars a piece now.) The flip is nice because it does wake up the kindle as soon as she "opens" the flap and puts it to sleep when she closes it. The only thing is - this is a soft case. So it will save the device from scratches and so forth but if you're throwing this into your backpack etc, make sure there's no weights crashing it or putting force perpendicular to it because this case will not save the kindle from that kind of damage. The device itself is pretty sturdy, so we personally didn't think she'd need a hard case - and can opt for the soft one for the aesthetics. But if you need a case to function as a protective case, this is probably not the one for you. ... show more

Love this case for my standard Kindle. It has a clear back which allows me to decorate the area with stickers. It's a tight enough fit that the stickers stay in place without actually applying them and this allows me to change them out when the mood strikes.

I love this flip cover case! I can display stickers on the back if I want to and yet keep the display protected while it’s in my purse. The sparkles make it shimmer. It doesn’t really lay flat against the back when it’s opened but might be because it’s still new. Seems great quality, easy to hold and I tend to hold it like I’m holding a book open. ... show more

    • No magnet to hold case together

I expected the case the stay open when folded back, like have a magnet or something to keep it like that. It just kinda flops around and makes it hard to hold it because the front of the case is slipping up and down on the back and not staying put very well. I would have returned it, but I already put the magnet ring for a pop socket on it. Edit: changing it to three stars because they did give me a refund and I managed to make this magnetic by buying a magnetic popsocket base and gluing it to the case to keep it open with the coordinating ring attacked to the back. But it wouldn't be worth doing that for the price if it wasn't for the refund. Also, the plastic of the from cover is very cheap. Discolors very easily, it wouldn't be bad for a $10 case, but since it's closer to $20 I think it could be better made. ... show more
