Description

The Leaf Plus follows the inspired build of the Leaf Thirty, which is based on the same technology designed and developed for the U.S. Military. Amplified with FirstStage technology, the antenna reaches a 60-mile radius, making it one of the most powerful amplified indoor antennas available. Amplification is located right next to the antenna that sets the noise floor of the digital system and mitigates the signal loss created by the coaxial cable. Leaf Plus lets you enjoy over-the-air networks in your area without paying a monthly fee. Watch TV shows for free from networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, The CW, Univision and more. And because over-the-air broadcasts are uncompressed, you will experience the clearest picture quality possible with your HDTV antenna. Mohu Leaf Plus includes a high performance 16 ft. detachable coaxial cable, giving users the flexibility to place the antenna much higher on a wall or close to a window for optimal reception.

  • Cut the cord with this product !
Get off the cable or satellite. This works so good I didn't even know I was using an antenna. All the channels I want seamlessly captured. Get it

  • Great product
Extremely happy this antenna does an excellent job. Granted I am near New York City. That I suppose has something to do with it. Especially since CBS broadcasts on VHF no switches on the antenna. In the old days you had to switch between uhf and VHF. Those days are gone

  • MOHU Leaf + 60 mile range INDOOR AMPLIFIED ANTENNA: Satisfactory, but imperfect performer
MOHU Leaf + 60 mile range INDOOR AMPLIFIED ANTENNA: Satisfactory, but imperfect performer... Pros Easy to install Seems more stable than 'rabbit ears' and other plate DTV antennas once fixed in a good position It can feed both a DTV and the FM Stereo Tuner of a HI-FI Stereo Receiver at once with an RF distributor Cons A little on the expensive side of the budget Still affected by radio interference, weather, bounced signals and windows orientation With 'rabbit ears' dipole antennas, you can usually receive lower frequency digital TV stations, but one of the problems you may confront is the constant reorienting of the dipoles and the occasional channel re-scanning to get the best reception for all your liked channels. To that effect, I gave a try to the MOHU Leaf + INDOOR AMPLIFIED ANTENNA. It was easy to install. And the simpler the installation layout, the better. The design of the antenna seems to be better for higher frequency digital TV stations than for lower frequency ones. In the beginning, I installed on a window with the lighter side looking out it to feed the the TV and the FM tuner of a High Fidelity Stereo receiver using a coax RF distributor (See included photos (c) 2022 by reviewer): FM Stereo reception was nice and most of the area's TV channels showed up and were stable, plus one or 2 new ones came up thanks to the amplifier, but not always. Two favorite TV channels with sub-channels #.1 to #.4 and #.1 to #.3 which operate on the lower side of the TV channel frequency spectrum in our neighborhood had the tendency of suddenly disappearing within hours of a channel scan, no matter were we located the antenna plate. I thought that the Internet WiFi router had something to do with this. WiFi routers are not the only culprits: you'll be surprised by the kinds of sources of radio frequency interference (RFI) you may be having at home unknowingly. Fortunately, they usually affect at most a couple DTV channels frequencies and when you move the TV antenna farther away from the offending RFI source or even remove the offending source, channels come back fine... if the antenna is well oriented and its amplifier works. In this case, moving the antenna plate farther from the router didn't work: those 2 channels disappeared again hours after. I went ahead and removed coax wire extensions, relocated the plate and scanned progressively: same issue. I ended up disconnecting the antenna from the coax RF distributor, connecting the antenna cable directly to the TV: still, inconsistent reception of the same aforementioned channels. Finally, per their FAQ page, I removed the amplifier, connected the antenna directly and scanned the TV once more: unable to get liked channels and scanned channels amount came down from 44 to 29. I called their technical support and the very helpful associate reviewed all steps I did and then suggested me to try placing the antenna in a southeast side window. The problem is that all the windows of my apartment point the other way. Well, I guess may I have to live with those channels being intermittent or else... The lesson: research your favorite channel frequencies and transmitter positions before ordering. I still believe that the MOHU Leaf + INDOOR AMPLIFIED ANTENNA has the potential to be a 5-star contender because it works fine with DTV channels in the upper side of the spectrum and if you have antenna positioning flexibility. But, for me, it's going to be 4 stars. ... show more

  • Sadly it dodn't work
Unfortunately it didn't work for me. It "received" 19 channels, but we were not able to watch any, the image and sound were terrible. It might be my location.

  • Disappointing but better than nothing.
I refuse to pay for TV - Cable, streaming, whatever, it's a waste of money. I live in a 3rd floor apartment with large windows that face west and no obstructions, about 30 miles N of Jacksonville FL, pretty flat terrain. There are at least 20 channels available that the TV is registering! However, regardless of where I put this in the windows it can only consistently pick up the signal for 3 channels. Another 5 are sporadic at best. I have noticed certain channels come in better at certain times of the day, and at certain times of the year, so I don't believe the antenna is entirely to blame but I had much higher expectations based on the reviews. And the provided stickers to hold it in place aren't actually big enough to hold it once the weight of the cable is attached. ... show more

  • A real Mohu, amp right at antenna, new version. works great
Mohu MH-110029 Leaf Plus. The "Plus" is the 60 mile version, the most powerful one I could find (not the 50 or 30 mile). This was the only seller of it I could find on Amazon in March 2020. This came in a real retail box and is a real Mohu. This is the latest version, and is as the picture shows with the built in amplifier right at the bottom by the coax connector (square area at bottom, the older versions have a triangle shaped area for the amp). We are 50 miles from Denver in the flatlands and got a great signal. Easy to use, put in window of travel trailer. This is the "original" American design and is better than ones that have the amp at the other end of the cable near the TV. (I'm a retired electrical engineer, worked as product designer at HP). The amp requires power, which it gets from the included power inserter at the other end of the included coax cable. It then sends it up the coax cable itself, so now extra wires needed. Even had a strong enough signal to switch to a longer 25 foot coax cable. The (included) tiny power inverter block then has a short USB cable that you plug into a USB source, either from the included USB adapter you plug into the wall AC power... OR plug into any USB powered source like the newer TVs have on the back. We bought a new 32" TV from Walmart for $120 that is a Roku TV, and like most new smart tv's it has a USB port on it, that provides the power. So cheap and amazingly simple!!! ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised!
I went into a HDTV antenna purchase with serious reservation after experiencing a very frustrating experience with another brand antenna, which was an in-store recommendation by a salesperson. This time around I spent time reading on-line reviews and multiple Top 5 and Top 10 reviews from several different websites. This mohu Leaf + stood out to me because it was consistently on every list for a good buy and performing well. It wasn't always rated #1, but it was the only brand I saw that made nearly every Top 5 or 10 list. So I bought it, and thus far I'm very pleasantly surprised. I'm pulling in 43 channels with a clear picture and without any reception issues. Also, when I turn on the TV I get an instant picture, no waiting for the antenna to pick-up a signal. After 10 days of constant use, I haven't needed to reprogram the channels at all (I was reprogramming daily with the other store bought antenna). This mohu Leaf + also installed very easy, I was done in about 10 minutes. Mine is installed in an upstairs bedroom on an interior wall, opposite across the room from a window. So far, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more
