From Wikipedia: Rattan (from the Malay rotan) is the name for roughly 600 species of old world climbing palms belonging to subfamily Calamoideae. I added the above quote because the page lists the chair being made from rattan, it isn’t. It’s a metal frame and stand with the ‘rattan’ woven through the egg frame being plastic. Which is probably a good thing, it isn’t going to rot. I just don’t like sellers not telling me like it is. One other thing of note is that all the pictures show a round cushion. The one that came with the chair was more of a tear drop shape. Not that it’s uncomfortable, I just expect to receive what’s in the pics. All that aside, the chair came well packaged. No damage. It is well made and very comfortable, my wife and daughter love it. ... show more

When I unpacked the chair, the color was stripped away in areas. This is plastic wicker, so when scratched the color goes to white. I tried to click on the link to contact support but the link doesn't work. Upsetting because this is a pretty chair.
