  • Ground cover is too cheap to hold the straps
I have yet to heat the spa as it’s too hot right now here in CA. So if it heats well then I’d give it four stars. But the main problem so far is the ground cover. I’ve only used the spa 6 times and I already have two straps that have ripped out from the ground cover while trying to snap them to the spa cover. And yes I loosened them enough. Hopefully company customer service will respond promptly. ... show more

  • If you are thinking about it stop and just get it!
The media could not be loaded. This was a fantastic purchase. It is exactly as described and very well made. It was very simple to setup. You can literally follow the directions printed on the tub itself. It self inflates in about two minutes looks great and I love that the pump is hidden within the tubs wall. No weird added extension or pipes. Being a rounded square shape is much nicer than a round spa. It gives you 4 well defined seats. It is plenty large. At 6’ tall I can submerge myself completely corner to corner. Side to side my legs just touch the opposite side. They say it fits 6 but realistically I’d say it’s perfect for 4 adults. Could you fit 6?…sure but you wouldn’t be comfortable. The only negatives I have are very minor and both involve the cover. It tends to droop in the middle no matter how tight you make the straps. Normally not a big deal, but if it rains it fills with water and it is annoying to have to remove it befor let you can remove the cover. The other problem is there are 8 straps, one one each corner and 1 centered in each side. The wired remote is also centered on one side so when you put the cover on it sometimes puts enough pressure on the remote that it can trigger the buttons. By the way the remote is fantastic and works well. If you are in the fence in this purchase, don’t be it is worth every penny, you won’t regret it. ... show more

  • Absolutely not worth the money!
After we enjoyed our first (much cheaper) inflatable spa for 2 years, it sprung a leak, so we decided to replace it with a higher quality tub, hoping this would improve the experience. Unfortunately this is not the case...it may even be worse. The biggest problem is the cover. Our previous spa had an inflatable cover, which provided decent insulation and made removing and replacing the cover very easy. With the M-SPA placing the cover by yourself is hard, because corners keep falling in the water, scooping up some water, making the cover sag. Basically you need 2 people to put the cover on properly. To make matters worse, after a month, there appears to be a small leak in the foil on the inside of the cover. After taking it off, we found there is a pocket of water inside the cover, making it heavier and even more impossible to remove and replace. Not to mention that this results in constant contact of the cover with the water, which significantly reduces the insulating properties. Then there is the draining system, which comes with an adapter to connect a garden hose, which is a great solution. However, the connector does not actually have the correct thread to connect to a garden hose, so you will need to cut off the end of one of your hoses so you can put it on the adapter, making the hose pretty useless for anything else. It baffles me that they did not choose to provide a connector that is compatible with the standard garden hose connector (male or female could work). Last big issue is not unique to the M-SPA, but is a problem with every inflatable hot tub we have seen so far: the filter. The paper filters work fairly well, capturing small particles from the water. However, when you want to replace the filter (located on the bottom of the sidewall), you disconnect it and have to drag it up through the water to the surface, basically releasing all the material that was initially caught by the filter. Why nobody has thought of a way to install the filter on the outside of the tub, somewhere in the line from the tub to the pump, is a big mystery to me. That seems like a small engineering challenge, that would make the filter instantly 90% more effective than it is now. On a positive note, we found that the material is very thick and feels like good quality. Especially the cushioned bottom is a big improvement over our first tub. Not too excited about the wrinkles that remain, even after filling the tub though. Also the pump is a lot more quiet than the pump from the tub we owned before. CONCLUSION: Yes, the basic materials of the tub seem to be good quality, however the few but major design problems (especially the cover!) with this hot tub, make me say I would not recommend this tub. For about half the money, you will buy a tub that is of similar quality, but with a much better cover. If that means a pump that is somewhat noisier, that would be worth it in my opinion. ... show more

  • Worth the money. A great low-commitment solution
Set it up Sunday, got in it Tuesday at 104* F. So far it does a great job. It is currently 37* outside and it maintained temp pretty well. With the jets on, it seemed to lose about 2 degrees every 10 min at this cold location. Not bad. With the jets off, we sustained at 99 degrees until we were ready to get out. The cover is really nice and overall the quality is really good. The only complaint I would even consider is the placement of the filter but I don’t have a solution. We would buy this tub again. Can’t beat the price to quality ratio of this tub. Setup was a breeze and we were in it two days later. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger. ... show more
