    • Good basic SSD, peps up old laptop
Had an old Celeron laptop with a dreadfully slow 5400rpm hard drive that takes minutes to boot, hours to update, and programs took ridiculously long to load up. Swapped out the old drive with this SSD, and performance has substantially improved. I can boot to Windows 10 in less than a minute, and general system performance is a lot snappier. It also uses far less power than a hard drive, so you also get a few more hours out of the battery. This was only going to be a simple laptop for school work and MS Office, so 120GB was sufficient. Spec-wise, it's probably not the cutting-edge kind of SSD you'd use in a gaming PC, but this will still be a major upgrade to any old computer with a SATA mechanical hard drive as the main boot drive. ... show more
