This luggage must be made more slim (not larger than 8 inch) to fit smoothly. You have to force them inside personal item slot and this might make scratch marks on your bag. Because mine did. So sad. If you overpack the bag, it might not fit and make you charge!!! So think twice before the purchase. I think in the past they were small enough. I used this for one trip, and when returning the zipper has popped off due to luggage handling at the airport. Not sure if it’s poor design or if Southwest Airlines employees threw it off the plane, either way one use and it’s already broken
