Small and dainty but fit just about anywhere. I have one on my windowsill that I am starting African Violet leaf cuttings in and it's working very well. I did not use the seedling tray for this one. I just set two small pots with the planted leaf cuttings in and put the humidity dome on. All leaves are rooted now and the vent allows me to let out excess condensation but still retain optimal humidity for my leaves. One more month to go! My son and I started our tomato seeds in this tray, using peat pods. The tray's great - bottom, water tray, dome with vents - but the indents are very tight. We tore two peat pods trying to take them out once it was ready to be plant. I bought these a while back (late 2021 or early 2022). I started some seeds and some of them germinated and some didnt. The design makes it easy for mold to grow so be sure to use a mold inhibitor on your soil. The trays are cheap thin plastic and get easily rumpled and crushed when you try to remove the plants. Use a table knife or a thin metal spatula like for cake frosting or oil painting to loosen the olug/seedling for easier removal. The bottom trays are pretty sturdy, as are the tops. I would improve the design by making the part with the sections in it out of thicker plastic that's still flexible, like a soda bottle. Right now they're only as thick as a cheap water bottle. After two seasons of using them I'm ready to spend a lot more money on something that can be reused for years. I'll probably keep the top and bottom of these and use those little peat pellets in them instead of the sectioned part. ... show more

We planted our seeds, added a little moisture, put on the caps and placed them on a heating pad. They warmed up like little greenhouses with just the right amount of captured humidity. Our germination rate was almost 100% and roots formed quickly and well. It was very easy to remove the seedlings for transplanting to larger pots when ready. I just wish that the caps were taller as there is not a lot of space for seedlings to grow without hitting the caps. ... show more
