Description

For example, a turbocharger waste gate requires pressure to test for proper function and accuracy. To fulfill the needs of modern service technicians, Mityvac Silverline dual pressure/vacuum pumps offer a switch that allows the operator to alternate between vacuum and pressure at the front port. The MV8510 tool is diecast metal and it will outlast the less expensive plastic ones. It is a high quality tool which includes a vacuum/pressure gauge and it pulls a vacuum quickly. I recommend also purchasing the MVA6005 reservoir accessory which makes bleeding brake and clutch systems easier and less messy. ... show more

When I was making a decision to buy this pump some people were stating a nice case with attachments in their review and others stated just receiving the vacuum pump. It would have been nice to receive a cup for bleeding brakes. I ordered this because wanted a metal vacuum pump. I have an attached a picture with this review for others to know what to expect when purchasing. I haven’t used it yet but the unit seems well built. If it pulls vacuum and holds then I’ll be keeping the unit. I’ll provided a follow up of how it performs. ... show more

I owned an older version Mityvac that finally broke the handle after 20 years of dependable service and found this one to replace it. This model is worth the extra money going with the cast metal version due to its a reparable piston/seal design and the handle is comfortable to use. The vacuum suction works perfectly for bleeding your brake calipers out as long as you purchase a larger size bottle than what it comes with but the smaller bottle does the job well also as long as you know how to bleed brakes properly. I was also able to find the vacuum leak in my vacuum harness and vacuum dash pods on my 1970’s air conditioning which operated the blend doors. I have an older plastic version which has been used a lot, and mistreated. Although it remains functional after so many years this new and redesigned metal unit is far superior and the kit has just about every adapter you might need. The case is very well laid out and also well constructed for keeping everything together.
