  • Nice kit that works great.
I bought this kit because I needed to rest the rear calipers/parking brakes. The kit worked great for resetting both the front and rear calipers. Nice blow molded case where everything fits and secure. The caliper hooks/hangers are heavy duty, and the gloves are good quality. Definitely worth the price. And I would buy again. ... show more

  • Great brake kit !!!
Purchased this kit primarily for my 2017 Outback's rear brakes. Worked perfectly to "wind in" the electric e-brake pistons on the rear calipers. Great quality for the money.

  • Worked fine and similar quality to my 18 year old unit
I have an older unit that uses a clockwise motion to push in the brake piston. I purchased this unit because it has both clockwise and anticlockwise adapters. It is very similar to my old unit in quality. The main difference is the quality of the case. I don't think the latches on the case will last long. It's an easy to use tool with a few more adapters than my original unit. ... show more

  • Comprehensive kit at a bargain.
This thing works way better than a C clamp or pliers. I was actually surprised by the quality of the case, blow molded cases usually suck no matter who they're from but this one held every piece through shipping which is an impressive feat given it appears UPS had delivered the packaged this was in by drop kicking it all the way from the warehouse to my home. The case even has some pieces that slide out to a more open section to make them easy to grab then slide back to lock into place. The gloves and hanger hooks for your carriers is a nice addition as well. The metal is okay quality and everything is a decent tolerance, there was no sharp burring left over from manufacturing. It gets the job done and its a damn good deal. ... show more

  • Brake caliper tool
This is a really great tool to have if you do your own brakes or help Friends and family do their brakes on their vehicles. My days of using a C clamp or over. I helped a friend with doing the brakes on his Vehicle and charged him only $150 and this tool cost me about $25. I made $125 and Bought this tool for $25 I still have two or three more brake jobs lined up for $150 or more each. This tool makes you money and saves you money. This is a must have if you do your own brakes quality of this tool looks good works for me. I hope it would work for you too. ... show more

  • Good tool
I am getting ready to do the brakes on my wife's Ford Escape and need a caliper tool to reset the rear calipers. I have borrowed a friends tool before (Matco BCW20) but I believe if you have to borrow a tool more than once you should have your own. I have one of the "cube" style brake tools but using it usually results in slippage, bruised knuckles and are just a pain to use. I was browsing the internet looking at the Matco BCW20 caliper tool kit at $117.00 and the OMT (Orion Motor Tech) tool was also shown on Amazon for $26.49 shipped. I usually purchase quality known branded tools but this OMT caught my eye. I decided to take a chance and purchase it as Amazon has a great return policy if it turned out to be of poor quality. Well I received it today. (30 Sept. 22) I have to say that I am impressed for the price. It also came with two nifty S-hooks for hanging the calipers off the chassis to prevent hose damage. I have used the Matco tool before and this appears to be an exact copy less the phosphate coating on the steel. Usually I get bitten taking the cheaper route. The only concern I had was that the threads felt a little gritty when turning it through the arbor. I put a bit of grease on the threads, ran it in and out about 20 times to lap the threads and it is smooth as silk now. I am sure the machining on the Matco version is a bit more refined and the case is definitely of better quality. For casual use this tool will last forever and I believe if used in a professional environment it would hold up quite well. As a side note, I grease the threads on all my tools that use threads for pressing/pulling and clamping force. This prevents galling of the threads if the tool is used in the proper manner. I know people that have purchased tools and never lubricated the threads then wonder why they get all buggered up. This type of tool you really can't screw up making it for what it is intended to do. ... show more
