I absolutely love this stuff! When I'm getting my planters ready for spring planting, I use this to amend the soil about a week before I start planting, mixing it in and then watering it, tilling it again and then letting it sit while I figure out what goes where. Once I have the plants in, I know that the roots are going to get a good feeding right off the bat. I also toss a layer of this over the flower beds in autumn so that once the melt occurs, the nutrients will get to the roots of the plants and feed the bulbs that I have put in all over the place to give a nice presentation. This does the work of extra tending in the garden without you having to do anything else. But, a word of caution, because this feeds the plants so well, if you get any weeds in the soil, be sure to pull them out, otherwise, they'll go nuts and overtake a flowerbed or planter in no time at all. ... show more
