I bought the Spinning, 7' MH with Fast action. Just buy from this brand, whichever one you need. It's always worth it. If it's on sale, buy two. I have another, comparable rod at 7' MH with Fast action at a comparable price. However, the quality and detail in the Handing rod blows the other brand out of the water. A couple important points for me: 1. If the action is fast, it should be fast. It has good, consistent bend that is a true fast action rod. 2. The reel seat needs to be high quality. This has high quality Fuji seats that fit my reel perfectly. It fits great into my hands and there are no rough edges or burrs. 3. The rod should recover from being bent quickly. The carbon fiber blank does just that. There is no extra wobble in the rod after pulling tension. Less important, but pluses. 1. The line guides are high quality Fuji guides. There are 9 guides on a 7 ft blank. They are smooth and the 15lb braid that I use flows through them easily. 2. The cork is high quality and beautifully sculpted. 3. The blank is wonderful, has a rough winded texture that feels great and tactile in hand. 4. The line guide at the tip has an anti-line wrap function. This is so you don't break your high quality rod. Then again, it won't break the bank so you can just buy another one. 5. The attention to detail for the wrapping is spot on. There's even a blue accent on the cork grip seats. Cons: 1. The color. Sky blue doesn't fit my matte black aesthetic. The quality of the blank makes me colorblind though. 2. No designated hook keeper. It looks like you can hook your lures onto the reel seat screw but do what you want. TL:DR - If you need a fast action MH rod, just get this one. If you go to cabelas or sportsman's warehouse or your local big box store, you're looking at the very least $200 for something comparable. Save your money to buy more tackle or line or upgrade your reel. ... show more

Absolutely great fishing rod! Just like all of their products! And the customer service is great and they back their product. Extremely sensitive with direct contact to blank for your hand and you can feel the smallest bites. Highly recommended!

I bought this rod in March, and it performed well until the tip snapped off after I was trying to free the line from a tree. I contacted Handing customer service, and they shipped me a new rod the very next day!(I only needed the top half). Best customer service I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I originally ordered the 6'6" Light casting model but unfortunately amazon shipped me a wall clock instead. Amazon refused to resend the correct item and instead issued credit. Handing support (Rita) reached out to me immediately and was was much better to work with than amazon. Their responsiveness and willingness to correct the issue was awesome. I then reordered the rod but this time the mistake was on me as I mistakenly ordered the 6'6" light spinning model instead of the casting model. Once I got it and saw how nice it is, I decided to keep it to replace an older light spinning rod I have. I have since had it out a few times and it performs great. the rod is rated for 1/8-11/32 lure weight but I have been getting decent distance using a 1/32 oz mule jig with a donkey tail jr plastic for a total weight around 1/16oz, so it can definitely handle lighter than 1/8. Casting a 1/16oz mule jig with full size donkey tail plastic, it bombs it incredibly far. Its definitely a fast action. I have this rod paired up with a Daiwa Legalis 2500 with 15lb braid to 6lb flouro leader. Quality of rod is awesome and will eventually get the Miracle bass casting rod as well when it goes on sale again. Since then I have ordered and received the 6' Magic L Ultra Light casting rod to pair up with my Doviello Hicc50 BFS reel. I haven't fished it yet but based on looks and feel so far it seems way nicer than its price. Will see soon how it fishes. Thoroughly impressed with the 2 handing rods I have so far and even more impressed and relieved knowing that Handing's support (Rita) is legit and stand behind their products. ... show more

I always want a casting rod for drop shot but I have not been able to find one. By chance, the Handing Miracle Bass just turned out to fit the bill perfectly. The 7' ML casting model is super light in weight, super light and sensitive in action. Sometimes a light rod does not have the power to lift the fish. The carbon fiber blank of this rod has good strength at the butt section as well as at the mid section. I have the 7' ML and the 7' M models. They are both sensitive enough for drop shot. This is my inaugural experience with a two-piece rod, spurred by a recommendation from one of their pro staff members on Reddit. True to their word, the rod is impressively lightweight. Despite having larger hands, I find the petite grip to be surprisingly comfortable and enjoyable to hold. The snug fit between the rod pieces gives it the feel of a one-piece rod, which I appreciate. Even my father, who typically prefers traditional one-piece rods, found pleasure in using this rod. So far, I've had numerous successful bass catches with it. The rod's backbone is perfectly suited for the 3-8g range, and I've had no issues casting down to 1/8. The quality of the cork is notable, and the overall color and design are aesthetically pleasing. I particularly appreciate the choice of line guides—they strike a balance between being small yet functional, though adding one more guide might enhance the look without compromising performance. Only time will tell how durable the rod proves to be, but given my enthusiasm, if it's breakable, I may be the one to find its limit.
