The wood and brass are beautiful but the iron in this plane is crap. I’m not sure what kind of metal this iron is made from but the initial filing of the iron is crooked. Granted it wouldn’t take much to fix it but I didn’t purchase this to fix the dam thing. The wood is nice though.

The plane is neatly made and nice to look at. It is very small for holding it in a hand in working position. The design makes it easy to work up to a shoulder, but difficult to keep from burying into the work piece due to the lack of a front guide. In time, I will hopefully gain the experience to use it proficiently. ... show more

Very small, I don't think my husband realized how small it was. He hasn't used it yet, so we will update as soon as he does. Overall though, it is good quality from the looks of it.
