I bought two mini karaoke machines and although this one is super cute with the lights, the sound quality is not quite as good as the other brand I bought. I decided to keep it though to give it to a child because I don't think they would notice this slight difference.

Very cute and nice for a small get togethers. But it has a weird echo sound when music is not playing(gets very annoying) so no you can’t really use without having a song in the background. It was also very comical to use
