I ordered this cam specifically to put on a motorcycle to use as a pseudo dash cam. I wanted something inexpensive that I didn’t have to worry about breaking or losing, and I wasn’t in need of anything that connected to my phone. I was able to mount this to the handlebars of my bike, but instead of using the supplied handlebar mount, for a more secure attachment I used a RAM mount utilizing the tripod female adaptor screw on the back of the camera. The rotating lens on the unit allowed me to get the correct orientation behind my windshield. I was glad to see that the internal battery is charged via a USB-C port instead of the outdated Micro-USB. I get around 3.5-hours of battery life, not the 4-hours advertised, but that is enough battery life for my rides, and if I have longer rides, I can do a little charging with a battery bank when I make rest stops. Figuring out the operation took me a bit of time because there are so many buttons on the unit, many of which have symbols and I needed to refer back to the manual to understand what the symbols mean. I’ll always need to take the manual with me so that I can reference it for various operations that I might not use frequently enough. The manual is acceptable, but not written by someone with a command of the English language, so I found I needed to take some time to understand the meanings of each section. The loop recording is very helpful, and I am glad it came with a 32gb micro-SD card, although I installed a larger card so that loop recordings wouldn’t overwrite anything on my longer rides. The screen on the unit is so tiny that it is barely usable. I use it only to ensure the unit is turned-on and that the lens is oriented correctly. For proper viewing, I need to upload the videos to my computer. I was pleasantly surprised that a USB-A Micro-SD card reader was supplied in the packaging. You can also just easily plug in the camera with the supplied cable directly into your computer. The video quality is only 1080p and not 4K, so it is acceptable but not great. If you want 4k resolution, then I recommend getting a different unit. I assume the LED lights for nighttime use are helpful, but for my purposes they are not needed, and I haven’t used them. Be aware that using them will deplete your battery power faster. If I have any nitpicks, it is that there is no waterproof rating or impact rating. I am worried that if I get caught out in the rain that the camera might get damaged. There also isn’t too much vibration isolation dampening, so I am worried that continued vibrations from my cruiser motorcycle might also damage the unit. Fortunately, this isn’t too expensive a camera, so if it does become damaged, you won’t be breaking the bank. If my unit does not survive repeated use on my motorcycle, then I will return to update this review. ... show more

The camera works perfectly as described. A very useful tool to document interactions with contentious people and even in the car when driving. Can provide legal protection and proof in adversarial events. Is very small and lightweight and so easy and unobtrusive to carry around.

With the coupon on this listing, this camera is 25 dollars. Considering the price, I'd say that the camera is very decent. You obviously won't be getting GoPro level footage from this camera, but it is able to capture a solid 1080p footage. The camera is quite versatile in ways it can be mounted on different surfaces. It does have a pretty strong magnet so you can attach the camera to metallic surfaces. You can use the clip to mount the camera on your shirt, backpack, or even your cap. Lastly, the screw hole on the camera can be used to attach it to camera mounts. Because the camera lens can be rotated, it really does allow you to use the camera on different surfaces in different angles. The flashlight on the camera can be handy if you're in a low light setting in some indoor spaces, but it's definitely not bright enough to rely on exclusively as your source of lighting. If you need to have a camera that can film in the dark, you should look for something with infrared attached instead. ... show more

    • You Get What You Pay For
Now at the price point for this item, I was not expecting a lot, and that is what I received. The button layout is not intuitive and will require the manual, which is not the greatest manual I have seen. The unit does come with a 32GB micro sd card which is a nice touch. The resolution of the video is not the greatest and fine details fade out. Also, in daylight, the videos are washed out. I did not see that the camera is permanently set to a 5 minute loop. I honestly do not understand why this unit would be programmed this way, but that is what you get. The good think is that you can go into Clipchamp and easily stitch the segments together into a video. Cheers 🍷 ... show more
