    • Well made, smooth running, quiet mini-drill press
I would have given this little drill 5 5tars had the drill press vice been made with steel and with closer tolerances. The press works fine and is what I expected; however, the vice is die cast and has high tolerances which allows flexing, which causes the material to tilt off-angle by about 7 percent according to my level, and it also moves off-center even with the vice mounting bolts secured. I have gotten around this issue by adding a wooden stabilizer block measuring 10.5mm wide a 24.5mm high by the width of the drill base, and placed it between the vice jaws. The bumpers are concave to help keep material at the apex of the bumpers and thus keeping the material level, but the material of the vice is the weak link in this design. Without the block, the pieces would not remain level. Other than this tiny glitch, this drill press appears to be a good value for the price. The rest of the drill press is solid. ... show more
