This makes high quality foam in less than a minute on low setting - the thick, luxurious, sustainable kind produced by well trained baristas using steam wands. Foam quality is everything when making cappuccino & I hadn’t realized how thin that produced by my battery operated frother was until I tried this out. It’s fantastic! I like that it does not heat during operation because it’s easier to control the milk temperature, and that you don’t have to hold the button continuously during operation the way you must with a stick blender. However, choice of mixing vessel is a huge issue because even the low setting can cause waves of liquid to overflow the vessel. It needs deep, oversized vessels with vertical sides to fully contain contents without spatter (3:1 mixing space minimum, with 4:1 being ideal). I froth 6 oz of milk in a 2 cup glass measuring cup daily (~20 oz capacity) & spill more often than I would like to admit. It thoroughly emulsifies 1/2 cup of vinaigrette in a snap, using a pint jar, but to do much more, I would go up to a quart-sized jar. I tried using the whip attachment on low setting to mix Caesar dressing & it splattered all over the kitchen because the bowl was not deep enough & had slanted, rather than vertical, sides. I have used the high setting once, to whip 3 oz of heavy cream in a 16 oz pint mason jar (the cream spattered 3/4 of the way up the jar). The steel coil attachment performed better than the whisk attachment, but I think that the regular whisk would have easily outperformed on 6-8 oz of heavy cream whipped up in a quart jar. Notably, both attachments began to slow/lose power when the cream became thick, so I would stick with a blender stick or mix master when dealing with thick, viscous textures. The whisk attachment does a nice job thoroughly mixing protein powder into liquids, but Magic Bullet is arguably comparable & slightly easier to use & clean up after in my kitchen (a matter of personal preference). Finally, it is awkward to attach the attachments & I have found it necessary to line them up BEFORE PUTTING THEM IN because you can’t “feel the grooves” & lock them in the way you can with a mix master. I love using this milk frother to make my own hot drinks at home. Everything tastes more delicious when you use the milk frother to take that coffee/tea/chocolate drink to the next level! So far, I have used it to make chai lattes, gourmet hot chocolate, milky green tea, and some pretty good iced coffee drinks. I love playing around with the settings and experimenting with different textures and tastes. It makes mornings a little crazier, but so much more fun as I look forward to trying something new all the time! This milk frother is rechargeable. Simply plug the USB-C cord (included with the frother) into a power bank or outlet adapter and wait for the light to turn green to show it is fully charged. This makes the frother portable and easy to take with you on travels, including camping, beach parties, or even a weekend out with friends. The frother weighs about 11 ounces and is easy to hold in 1 hand. It comes with 3 different whisk attachments so you can pick the right one for the job. The milk frother is cute, small and I love that it fits into a small space. The mint color is lovely and it looks right at home on my kitchen counter. It is small, but mighty. It is pretty easy to use, but I recommend using the instruction booklet included for helpful tips and tricks to get started. Also, make sure you practice in a larger-than-needed mug/cup/bowl to give you a splash zone. The frother is capable of whipping cream, whisking egg whites, making baby food, blending protein powders and supplements into shakes, etc. It is much more powerful than it looks and can make a big mess of your kitchen if you are not careful! Cleaning the milk frother is quick and easy, which makes it a delight to use every day. The milk frother is a worthwhile investment to save money ordering coffee out every day without losing the luxurious taste.
