When I got the package I was immediately blown away by the packaging, it was classy and unlike other products I knew 100% it was brand new by the way it was sealed. When I opened it everything was secure and professionally put together. It came with extras and a really nice velvet bag. The instructions were easy and helpful. For the Straightener itself it was sleek and felt lightweight in my hand, very easy to use, it has a simple display and I love that the power button is in a spot that can't be accidentally pushed. My hair is curly but like untamed curly, it's always a complete hassle to deal with (curly or straight) and my old straightener took a full hour on my hair, regardless of the heat setting it never worked well. HOWEVER when I used this new one no joke only took 15min start to finish to straighten my hair!! I had to check Amazon again to make sure the price was right because this is such high quality and so fast I couldn't believe what I paid for it! I will be having a funeral for my old straightener because this new one is here to stay for the long haul! I have not tried the curl feature yet because I'm just happy to have straight hair for a bit, ill update when I do try it though. In the meantime I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this product. I had a flat iron that I LOVED years ago, the narrow kind that can also make curls, but the ceramic paddle cracked when it was dropped. Then my hairdresser gave me one he rarely used, a professional wide-padeled one, that burned my hair (and also my neck and forehead a couple of times!) This flatiron has several different temperatures you can choose from (hair starts to melt at 425 degrees and burns at 450. The Dyson website states that above 300 will damage the keratin and make hair less elastic.) So I tried 430 degrees the first time, and my hair steamed and smelled burnt (but no different than when at the salon). The next two times I set it for 390 and it was much better. I'm going to keep playing with the temperature and see how low I can go and sti get results. I love this feature. Also, the auto shut off is great peace of mind. I've seen models where the shut off is 5 minutes, which isn't long enough. My hair, for context, is VERY curly, and VERY thick. The curls in some parts are coarse, almost kinky. This did the job, and my hair was smooth, no frizz! The only reason this wasn't 5 stars is that this model doesn't also curl hair like the narrow ones do. But for the price (very reasonable) I can always get a curling iron too if I decide I need that. Would absolutely recommend! ... show more

I love the ease of using this product. It’s a tad bit heavy but everything else is great. My hair turned out amazing. It comes with 2 hair clips, a comb, a protective glove and some hair ties. It heats up fast and I like the range of temperatures. It goes up to 460. I would definitely recommend this item! ... show more
